Has anyone extended the hoses on this flush system to the transom? The port engine port isn't too bad, but the starboard is a muscle spasm in the lower back waiting to happen. Would be interested in routing and fittings used on the transom. TIA

I'm fabricating a dinghy engine cradle using std steel for mounting above the swim platform. I know stainless is the best option, but very costly. What would be the best option for coating/painting/protecting the steel?

Understand the shoot thru suffers attenuation from the hull. Of course, the transom mount can be effected by turbulent flow... Leaning toward transom if only because it seems easier (and cheaper) DIY option.
