Update: My engine hatch issue has been resolved!!!
Friends and I were able to manually open the hatch and verify the hatch lift motors were fine. We determined the wires from the helm to the motors were compromised somewhere because we noted the voltage drop at the motors when under a load...
We finally resorted to the manual lift. I was able to start at the corner then the others joined in with lifting and bracing until we had it opened and secured.
Thank you.
Thanks. Yes, I bypassed the reed switch and hear the relay click. I did a voltage check on the relay and it was good. As you saw in my original post, I replaced the two pop-out breakers just in case, as well as the helm switch and the relay...
At this point, it seems my only option is the...
gerryb, I may try that next... We did note the relay (both old and new) is slightly warm to the touch. We expected it to be cold...
When you say "connect the two wires" (given there are four) are you referring to 86 & 87? They are the Terminal from switch and Terminal from power source.
Please...
I am unable to open the hatch on my 2007 44DA. The hatched worked fine the previous week and when I returned, it did not. I have performed the following:
Verified the power to the helm (all of the other switches work)
Opened the transom hatch AND bypassed the hatch safety (magnet)
Replaced the...
Jim, I know this is an old thread but I plan to replace the salon TV in my 2007 44 DA with either the 24" or 26" Vizio in the next couple of weeks. I may be in need of your advise / tips.
Thanks
Don
I am having the same issue and I believe it to be the pressure release valve on the hot water tank. The pop-up is old and rusty so it is not sealing correctly. As the line leads to a through-hull, no leak is found in the bilge but the water (when the water pump is turned on) is flowing into...
I am in the Nikon camp as well. After reviewing the options I had from the Marriott gift catalog, I chose the D90 over the D5000 and ordered it two days ago. Thanks for the lens info. It will be interesting to see which of my old lenses still work.

Sorry for the delayed update. It is not coolant as the mains have green fluid and the genset has blue. ?!?!?!?
At this point I am believing an old issue is not fixed - leak in the port trim tab as the ATF in the system is red. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the source of the leak after...
Tough call this year as there is the possibility of a "real" winter. I am considering the purchase of the bilge heater. This is my first winter with this boat so I'd rather be safe. Usually, the first hard freeze isn't until January or so. We'll see. I already miss the boat... :smt089

Great thread. Cracked me up. I love this site. :smt038
My neighbor has the 420DB and though he likes it prefers the size of the afterdeck on my 44DA. When funding permits, he is considering a larger DB just to get the afterdeck space.
I'm lovin' the 44DA but sad because I put it to bed...
