The canvas behind the spoiler on my 95 370 was completely destroyed by black vultures this fall. All I had left were edges and a bunch of dangling threads. It was due for replacement anyway, so that's ok.
Talked to my canvas guy who made my camper top, and he said it would be much easier and...
Replaced the upper door track on our 95 370 a couple weeks ago. Ordered a replacement aluminum tracks and trucks online. On our boat the track is 48" long. The basic steps were:
1) Cut/remove the sealer around the panel that forms the door pocket in the cockpit.
2) Remove 4 screws at the...
Thanks again, Gene. Saw the pics, and that gave me a good clue on what to remove. Took a couple of hours and some skinned knuckles, but we got it out today. -Jack
Hello fellow 370 owners,
Have any of you removed/replaced the aft air conditioning unit? There does not look to be an easy way to get it out where it sits under the aft locker and behind the drawers. Looks like I would need to remove the entire cabinet where the drawers are to get the AC unit...
Much smaller than Annapolis and somewhat smaller that St. Michaels, but it has a similar feel. The town on the south side of the canal is only about 4 blocks wide by 4 blocks long, but very nice. There's usually plenty of room to anchor in the basin, or you can get a slip at the Chesapeake Inn...
Suggest Tilghman Island and Cambridge. (That's about as far south as we've gone on the bay.) A couple of nice marinas are on the canal at Tilghman. We've also stayed at the marina at the Hyatt in Cambridge. Nice place and you get the use of all the hotel facilities (pools, etc...) We've done...
All,
Good news - just spoke with the service manager at my marina. They had a tech look at the boat this morning who confirmed a tune-up should clear up the problem. They will do the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc. Should be done later today. Thanks to all for the advice.

Mark,
This is great info. I had a problem with the engine on this side cutting out the previous day. I cleaned all the contacts in the black main harness connector and the engine has been running fine, save the trans chatter. Based on your input as well as others' input about idle speed...
Have a 95 370DA with merc engines and hurth v-drives. The starbaord transmission seems to chatter at idle when in gear. (forward or reverse) This just cropped up over a weekend cruise yesterday.
Problem goes away when RPMs go slightly above idle. After a search of the message base I found...
Steve, I had similar problems earlier this year. Turned out that I had a corroded connector on the engine harness, and it was not battery related. I did however test the batteries using a load tester and hydrometer. These are available at auto parts stores, but I bought mine on line at...
Time to replace the leaky water heater on my 97 370DA. Seems a fairly straightforward project, but has one minor hitch. The heater is mounted under a bench in the rear of the cabin. It sits in a compartment, like a small well, just big enough to hold the heater itself. I'd like to drain the...
Thanks to everyone for your advice. I finally got to the bottom of the trouble. The main engine harness connector (large round black connector) had some corrosion on the pins. Cleaned the connector and all has been running just fine.

Frank,
Tried to shunt the battery switch on the back using a screwdriver with no change. Just ordered a hydrometer and battery load tester online. Mother's day will be spent working on the boat. My wife has come to expect nothing less!
Where might the fusable links you mention be located...
John,
That's great information, and should help isolate the problem. Was scrating my head a bit yesterday to figure out which batteries where for what.

John,
Had a similar problem with a Norcold unit a few years back. Check to make sure AC power is reaching the unit. If so, the power module on the fridge may be bad. I took the fridge out on my boat and took it to a Norcold dealer who repalced the module. Been fine ever since.

I’ve been trying to diagnose and intermittent electrical problem on my 95 370DA. The port engine seems to lose electrical power intermittently. The engine will start and run properly if I use the emergency start switch – effectively running the engine from the starboard power. If I release the...
Thanks! There's really no comparison. We actually really loved our '88 Rinker FV250, and had many great years using her with the family. The differences are so vast... one screw vs. two, the space, generator, hot water, central air, appliances, a dinghy. I'd guess the best way to put it is the...
