    '06 44 Sedan Bridge height?

We're about to begin our 4th season in our 2006 44DB and cruise about 130 hours per year. The boat and engines have been great. We love it.

    Florida Bow Thrusters

They do a fair amount of work on boats at our marina and everyone seems pleased. They are installing a hydraulic swim platform on my boat next month. There's a 40DA next to me and they had FBT install a bow thruster a few seasons ago and the captian was happy with the service. Bon Dia's comment...

    Hydraulic Lift Option for 44DB

Anyone have insight on why Sea Ray doesn't offer a hydraulic lift as an option on the 44DB (aka 420DB and 450DB)? It's available as an option on a 40DA and 44DA, but not a 44DB. I realize that you can add one after market, but am curious why Sea Ray doesn't sell this option on new boats.

    Boatpix Helicopter Shots!

We had boatpix fly over us last year while near Newport News, VA. I wasn't familar with them, so I was a bit skeptical of the company. One of the other captains in our floatilla ordered pictures of his boat and the quality was outstanding. I quickly contacted boatpix and ordered mine, as did...

What to look for 44 Sedan Bridge

This is our 3rd season in our 06 44DB and we love it. We cruise about 130 hours/year primarily in the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. I agree with jetlag that the Cummins QSC 500s are perfect to power this boat. To help the AC maintain the cabin temp, we put 90% sunshades on the side windows...

    Big Question for everyone!

My perspective is that buying a boat is an investment in your family and leisure time, rather than an investment in your asset portfolio. I wouldn't go into the purchase with the expectation that your "investment" will appreciate. That said, with today's economy and the pressure on consumer...

Drain sump box & a chlorine tablet ??

As noted by others, be careful of the chlorine tablet as it could damage the plastic. Our shower drains into the sump box (aka, "nasty" box), so from time to time, I'll pour a little bleach into the shower and will let the water run for a while to flush out the box. So far, it seems to work fine.
