What does one do with the electrical equipment that cannot be removed from the boat over the winter (especially in the North East and other rather cold areas of the country)? I am specifically referring to the GPS and any other electrical equipment that are affixed to the boat. We are planning...
I am jealous of both you and Todd for being able to keep your respective boats indoors! Our garage is way too small (height-wise) and the local boat yards that offer indoor storage are charging an arm and both legs. Serenity will be stored outside this winter.

Is the transom tilt switch to make loading the boat on a trailer easier?
Joe and I are currently enjoying lounging on our 260 while slipped at our marina (still having some engine issues). Have to love the 1999-2004 cockpit layout!
Phil came today to install the ProMariner charger and the remote helm display on our boat. He was great; very professional, on time and efficient. He already had his insurance certificate on file with the marina so he was able to come right into the marina without any problems. He had a...
Thanks for clarifying. I could not remember which setting was for which type of battery. My point was that different types of batteries required different settings on the charger. I obviously did not express that clearly enough. Newbie mistake! I'll go back to reading posts :smt001
I second Mistercomputerman's recommendation for you to call Jim at ProMariner or any of his staff.
Our ProTech 4 charger just died. ProMariner was extremely helpful in helping us diagnose the problem and, when we decided just to replace the 9 year old charger, they help us select the...
How long will it take for the hull to dry out and what process are you using to dry it out? This sounds like an interesting project especially since you don't have to use your own funds to restore!
Ours is $1350 for the season (April 1 to Nov. 1) for 22' to 27' boat and includes electricity, water, 24 hour security, and free pump out. Gas was about $3.00 for most of the summer for 89 octane (highest was $3.08 over the 4th of July weekend).
What batteries do everyone have on their 260's? We will have to change our 2 lead-acid batteries in the off-season and wanted to see what everyone else has before deciding to stay with the lead-acid or to go for the deep cycle or AGM batteries.
I thought about posting this question as a...
No worries. I ended up ordering the 1250 because it could be shipped to my house by Tuesday whereas the 1240 wouldn't be available for 2 weeks. It was a little more expensive than the 1240 if bought directly from ProMariner but less expensive than the 1240s sold on 3rd party websites. My...
Hi All,
We invested in a new ProNautic 1250 charger with a remote helm control from ProMariner as our Protech 4 battery charger decided to die on us. It is arriving on Tuesday.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good but reasonably priced marine electrician in the Fairfield County...
We just bought the current boat but are in love with the 310's/340's. We put our name on the waiting list for the slips in our town marina that can hold a 310 or a 340 and have been told that we should expect to receive the slip in 10+ years! Plenty of time to enjoy the current boat and to save...
