    CSR Calendar Prep Work

This is a shout out to Jim, Shaun, and Ken for all their work so far on the CSR calendar. I'm sure it is a lot of time and effort and I for one appreciate it. I purchased the 2011 calendar but missed last years. I look forward to purchasing the 2013 calendar. I'm pleased the voting did not...

I decided to change the gimbal bearing and Ujoint my self...

Profit, I experienced the same clicking sound when turning as you describe. This was an alpha 1 and not a Bravo III. I replaced the U joints and that corrected the problem. Yes, when you do get the yoke out you will "feel" the U joints wobble if that is the problem. Nevertheless, I agree...

    Ouch, Our 310 Shrunk

Models aren't limited to cruisers only either. My '08 Sundeck 210 is now the Sundeck 220. Exact same specs. I find it funny that the searay website's gallery pictures of the Sundeck 220 still shows a swimdeck with the 210 lettering just above the deck!

Have you seen your boat this year?

Christmas present was a dual battery trickle charger. Went to boat storage Jan 1st to install it. Works like a charm. Can't wait until spring! :wow:

If you have ever bought a boat you are the sucker that paid the most.

It depends on your definition of a "sucker". As OldSkool said, those who purchased houses in 2007 felt they got a good deal only to see prices plummet. Those who purchased houses, boats, and cars in 2008-2009 probably got much more for their money. Was I a sucker for purchasing a last year's...

Be sure to check the height of your garage too before you purchase. The height was my problem into my garage, not the length.:smt009

    Ice Chest Myth?

My 1994 180BR had this very ice chest and it self drained to the OUTSIDE of the boat. As others have said, it is really only good for drinks as the surface opening is very small. I also agree the insulation isn't all that great. Additionally, when the ice begins to melt with the drain plug...

Enter fishing tournament -- no license -- Huh?

That's got to be tough. :smt009 All that work to be just 9 minutes late. Not sure which fishing story is worse now.

Enter fishing tournament -- no license -- Huh?

Thanks, Captain. I did not realize this was not a closed issue. I'm pulling for him. If not for the loss of the money, but the record for sure.

Enter fishing tournament -- no license -- Huh?

How does one forget to have a license for a fishing tournament? I realize this event is a few months old now, but I just read about it in my lastest Boating mag. I figure others haven't heard about this either. Wow! Huge prize money lost :wow:. And no record either. He surpassed the...

    Funny stories

So there I was (continuing the tradition) backing out of my boat dock in a 16 foot runabout with an outboard motor. It was a cool crisp morning with a slight breeze. About ten feet away from the dock the motor dies. I try to start it again. Nothing. Try again. Nothing. Check the fuel line...

Dealer pricing for a 2 year old leftover

My family purchased a 2008 from a Dealer in June of 2009. The boat had 25 hours on it and I guess you could call it a demo. The dealership did not label it as a demo and sold it as new to us. Our dealership was MarineMax and they agreed to fix numerous things, dings here and there. New...

A cute 190 Stopped in for a restoration

Heather, I have spent the last hour watching all your videos on this restoration. I am just in awe. This is outstanding work. I had a '94 180 Searay that I spent weeks restoring the interior (no gelcoat work, just carpet and seats). I have never been to Alabama but have met some really...

Just Back From Carnival Dream Cruise

I hope not! I've actually been on that sea plane that takes off in St. Thomas. My wife and I flew from Puerto Rico over to St Thomas to shop for the day and then flew back. It was quite a thril to take off almost right over the cruise ships docked there just like his video. I really enjoyed...

Bill, All very valid and strong points. Accidents do happen and I would rather not be a statistic. Thanks.
