    Hole in the Water Club

I love my 26' SeaRay that I brought back to life and my 16' Glastron/Carlson speedboat equally. It was actually the woman's idea to get the 2nd 'hole in the water' and she has already OK'd the eventual purchase of a 3rd boat as long as it's bigger. (that 300 sedan bridge for $2200 just floored...

Sea Ray SSS 1993 63 ft

Can't help with the over-charging problem, but I can with the adhesive for the overhead sound deadener layer. At Palmer Johnson Yachts, we used 'Sikaflex-291' by 'technique' as the general purpose sticky-stuff. This stuff is PERMANENT. Also used a layer of rubber sheeting impregnated with lead...

Lets see a photo of your pet

Our two Rottweilors love going on the boat, but all they do is hop into the fwd berth and just snooze. Female is 98#'s (on the left) and the male is 126#'s (on the right). In the middle; Roxie the Raccoon is the best protected critter in NE Wisconsin. DO NOT let a Raccoon onto your boat...

stuffed the bow on our 268 weekender this past weekend.

They can haul some serious ass with those gas turbines and their bow really slices through rough seas. Sounds like an Aegis class frigate or destroyer because the pic GFC posted later is the NEW version of what I was on; an LPD =>Landing Platform Dock. (pictured below) I've never...

stuffed the bow on our 268 weekender this past weekend.

Any boater who owns lakefront property in NE Wisconsin (read Door County) probably has heard of Rick Paulson. What they DON'T know is that waaaayyyy back in the day he designed and built his own speedboat EXPRESSLY for jumping waves in rough water. Pounded the waves with this big-block, Arenson...

For the very lucky, the very few...

ALSO available at Toys R Us is this 29" version. Of course I bought it on the spot. :) It's $90, and there are a whole lot of U-tube vids of it. Comes with a rechargable battery pack. Lotsa room inside to install real R/C gear. Some guys have even installed cameras. I put a MatchBox in the...

Sea Ray SSS 1993 63 ft

Well, I've read the novel. Can't wait for the BluRay release. Hope the movie has bonus features that include Rob throwing the Atlas ass in the drink and uncensored footage from the Florida parties. I should have saved this story for a day we're stuck inside during a blizzard.

    Looking for short LEDS

No answer for you... but PLEASE list everything you replaced and with what, as I am doing the same thing in spring. I fell in love with these LED driving lights from Advance Auto for $20/5watts/pair that I used 4 of them as underwater lights on my 260, have 4 more pairs to replace all the dome...

Keel Guard - pros or cons?

CRAP! I was thinking of doing the SAME thing on the SAME boat. :(

    Official 60 SR600 resto w/pics

I stand corrected, you sexy bastard:smt101, but 'pie in the sky' thinking makes me wonder how much MORE sexy it would be with a stealthy jet-drive. I totally understand the budget constraints, and lotsa people prefer the 'per factory specs', but if this was a total basket case w/o an engine I...

    1983 260 Sundancer

Go to NAPA with an old one. They are old semi-truck blades. Buying authentic replacements from a marina; you are paying double for the exact...same...thing.

    Hydrofoil

They KILL your trim pump. The hydrofoil creates this big pressure bubble that is constantly trying to tilt your sterndrive up. So you WILL jump up on plane easier, and be able to plane at lower speeds, but according to the mechie I asked at the marina- you'll be rebuilding your trim pump every...

Whos doing what, to their PRE CLINTON ERA boats this year?

Replacing all my interior lights with LED's, mounting atomic clock w/indoor-out temp, buffing out the deck, replacing forward rollers on the trailer with non-maring ones and saving my pennies so I can afford to RUN the damned thing!

1980 270 Sedan Bridge Rehab Begins

In automotive under 'LED driving lights'. I'm not sure how well they would work as aux driving lights on a car, but I sure do luv 'em for boat apps!:smt001 So far I've bought 6 boxes. Get 'em at Advance Auto Parts; $19.99/pair; stock#6250369.

Can you trailer an SRV300 weekender?

Yes indeedy; silicone sealant is the only thing holding these lights on. A lot on the backs of them, pressured against the transom overnight, and a continuous bead was laid the following day around its circumference. So far they are rock solid.

1980 270 Sedan Bridge Rehab Begins

Nope, but I answered you query about lighting in the other thread. If you are gonna upgrade all you interior lighting to LED, I heartily recomend the lights I'm using ($20/pair); or go to a big truck-stop and see what they have there.

That's a damned fine setup; and I'm insanely jealous!

Can you trailer an SRV300 weekender?

Pretty damned good! I have 'em mounted in pairs where the swim platform brace hits the transom. Not QUITE as bright as $600 worth of 'real' underwater LED lights, but for a total expenditure of $45; I am very happy with the outcome. Am SO happy with these lights, I bought another...
