    Your strut should have a hole in it where the floor meets the transom. Go thru there and up around the engine. Under my cowling there is a gap that you can go thru not around So you are securing the motor to the dinghy…. So when they steal the dinghy they wont lose the motor I use same style...

    I also use a cable lock with a round key. I go thru one of the transom struts and up behind the motor
