Mackrel Cove is better protected then Bonnet Shores. If you have a southeast wind then it can get rough in Mackrel Cove. It is deep in there and you can get close to the shore. I have never gone to the beach in there, but have anchored quite a bit there. Hope this helps.

How did you mount the bracket? The instructions say to mount it to the transom plate. I have 2003 320 with 6.2 v-drives that doesn't have the transom plate. Where did you mount yours?
