Hello to all :
I’m looking for past and present owner’s feedback on the 36 Sedan Bridge; Likes, dislikes, handling and performance. I have seen a lot for sale with low hrs on them, leading me to believe that they may not handle the sea very well. I’m looking to move from a 300 dancer the 36...
Everything looked fine, I may just have to change the coolant side water pump as the raw water seems to be working. Thanks I will let you know what happens
ods9, Thanks for your help. Gen is on the other boat (the one I let fish on), Sea stainers are clean, Might the pump be worn on the raw water side, or could the cold water from the hose cool the heat exchanger down enough that the coolant does not over heat. One thing I did notice was that the...
I remove the hose off the strainer. Strainer, Sea cock and screen look like new. Is there a change able impeller on the fresh water coolant side? That seems to be the only thing I have not had apart.
Sounds like your IAC valve, I had to replace both with in two weeks of each other . The first on went and the engine would not idle, the second one the engine ran fine I know two other boats that had both go with in 10 hrs of each others. good luck
Spent 2 hrs last night rechecking, Found that if I froced water from the hose into the system gen would run for over 1 hr. But when run self contained would only run 15 mins before shut down. Checked the flow and was close to 5gals a min. Any more thoughts
1999 olan gen 8.0 mdkal shuts down after running 15 -20 minutes but not all the time, I haver changed water pump and 3 sending units. Cleaned out intake lines and checked everything I can think of.... HELP before I loose what little hair I have.
Hey Mike, I've been boating for over thirty years and have a couple of thoughts for you. First just in side the east end of the cannal is Sandwich Marine. Great place to tie up for the night.
I have also made it to the cannal from long island bridge in under 2 hrs and it took me 4 1/2 last...
I have 387 hours on the port engine (BR3, 5.7) I notice last week that it started a little rough. Today I had to work even harder to get it going. Then it seemed to be fine. Did my harbor tour and while returning to the slip I notice a slight skip when backing down at low speed. Any thoughts?
Hi All- Being alone boater most of the time this is what I have found to work. At my home slip I leave the lines attached to the dock when I leave. and I have added colored tape to each line that matches the color tape on each cleat. Works like a charm, I have to have my boat in the slip before...
Hey Chad - Salt-a-way is a great product BUT! after testing it for 1 year I have found that it is the second step of washing. Salt is easy to remove from the surface. A little soap and water will do just fine. Then you can rinse with s-a-w. You will find s-a-w will leave a film when left to...
Just a breif update... Talked to the factory rep today, He expanded to me why the rode slips. The first problem is the finger and the second reason is the line has stiffend up.
Heres what he said. replace the finger and soak the rode in fabric softner for the night.
I will update on...
Hi Chad, Thanks for the info, Your description is just what is happening. Does the finger have any real play in this problem? If not I will be on my way to all chain.
