We suffered a port engine engine failure after ingestion salt water November 2020. Will right up a complete detail of what we went through once everything is settle but it will probably be awhile before I can post such. I would like to have a conversation with anyone whom has had t have it...
I as well changed to high temp fiberglass pipes in 2018 and have not had an issue with them since. Been to KW & back to middle Chesapeake Bay twice and around the bay a fair amount with no issues since then on the FG pipes!
Mike, I read you’re coming a South this summer as we wait to see you, the Admiral and all those beautiful daughters we have seen since you went North !
Grew up a lake boater in the family cabin for the summers. Bought two lake front cottages.on the same day for $62,500 & $82,500 in I think 1995. Decided I wanted to do a little bit bigger water and bought the my first SR 2001 420AC in 2007. Sold my cabin around six years ago for $389k after I’d...
I’ll through a little input in here as I have the same questions and have done everything Tony A recommended. I must admit I fail to remember the exact numbers so if someone has the answer feel free to plug it in here.
First off I run the engine room blowers the entire time the engines are...
Propane is the Most expensive cost of fuel you can buy energy wise for a boat short of nuclear energy power. Not talking about the engine just the fuel to run the engine!
Normal Person .
As a man, I used to think I was pretty much just a regular person, but I was born white, into a two-parent household which now, whether I like it or not, makes me "Privileged," a racist & responsible for slavery.
I am a fiscal & moral conservative, which by today's standards...
Frank thanks for the CSR Family info as we all are sure he can navigate the rough water ahead. Having his family, support network and the CSR family praying for him will get him through. He’s one tough cookie who can handle this with our support. Looking forward to catching up with him and God...
Mike, being up on the Great Lakes I would think your average EWT
(Entering water temperatures) would be less than most Southerners along with fresh water vs Salt water?
Not having seen your daughters in over ten+ years I can assure you that if I were one of the cowboys I’d would have stop you as well ! Cheers you’re bless with many people willing to risk life & limb to save you’re boat as long as they & Ot there momma are on board. You better keep you’re life...
I’ve never had a bucket list either but have been very fortunate being a firemen in the early 70’s with such great people. Yea there were always a few butt heads but very self rewarding job other than the money.
Having the opportunity to do the Great Loop was a want to but never every thought...
You will love those 3126’s as I had GT with them for ten years and did the AGLCA Loop in her as well. Never once let us down ever, well maybe once crossing Gulf of when I didn’t get the mileage I was used to. Yep, ran out of fuel about a mile shy of our twice revised destination of Tarpon...
All the speed data, rpm and other look great. I see very few people reading EGT data
Are you tracking/ reading EGT Data anywhere to see how your manifolds temperatures are running compared to Tony’s charts & recommendations ?
I believe the port engine has an additional gear which makes the port prop turn counter clockwise to the engine. The additional gear will increase the load & fuel burn over the starboard engine as I was told.
Gimme Time is set up the same way as TT’s boat. Three 3”4 lines one t to single manifold in starboard rear side locker. One fresh water hose connection with Salt Away injected to which ever engine of the three devices I want to feed & flush. About an 6-8 hr install which is pretty...
Water line manifold leaks are a RPITA and I’m ready to replace the manifold. I recall seeing someone had already done so before but I’m not Davy enough to find it using the search feature. Your help finding would be greatly appreciated!
