does it have a heat exchanger? sometimes they get all gunked up and causes the prob...(talking from experience with very similar symptoms) also..check all your hoses and thermostat..good luck!
yep! there is fluid in the reservoir but the trailer up button doesn't work either. there aren't any wires loose everything is really tight. i have discovered some other issue that may be the cause...when the switch is on "all" batteries the alarm goes off on the dash. when it is on battery 1...
our outdrive won't go up..it will go down though. does anyone think it could be as simple as a solenoid replacement or more than just that? btw....it makes 1 click sound when the button is pressed for up and motors down fine (when it was put in back on memorial day). fluid is full and...
i'll let you know Sprink...it may be a couple days before i get back to it for now..i teach and school isn't out yet in philly..by the weekend though you'll know..thanks!
nope! not even a click..not a try not a nothing..kind of like when the shifter isn't in neutral..but we are kinda wondering if it's the ignition switch like i said unless we are thinking wrong..idk?
i know it's in neutral but i don't get anything when i turn the key. mess around a little with the shifter and turn the key and then it starts. shift cable was just replaced...since there isn't any sound from anything i'm thinking it's the ignition switch....whattayah think?
haven't seen anything wrong with the hose..still searching but someone at our boat club said the same thing about moisture...next winter we'll be taking the new cushions out...any leads on the type of fabric we should use? i'm assuming it should be marine grade but i'm also looking for some...
wow! that's a lot of moisture..we took the cushions out and we'll start new after spraying with bleach and water..thanks for the tip...thank god it's not a leak!
we have a 1988 sundancer ...the aft cabin was filled with black mold under the cushion yesterday when we were getting it ready for the season. it is not wet now but apparently at some point it was. it's only on the starboard side and doesn't look like it came from the sliding window above...
we have a 1988 sundancer and just replaced the pinstripe and revived the gel coat to near new condition...we would like to replace the worn, cracked "Sundancer" and "Sea Ray" stickers..can't find it on their website nor can we find it on ebay..any suggestions?
Best kept secret!!!! Are you ready???????? Mayonnaise! Glop it on your gel coat...let it sit....a few hours..i left ours on overnight (a cool night with no rain) came back the next day and washed it as ususal. Used 3m clean and wax. Looks like showroom new..
i knew it was involved! thanks so much guys! weather is finally cooperating this weekend so we'll get started....not dropping the bottom just gonna try our best to keep it neat. in the mean time we also noticed that the ground that screws into the drive is also corroded..can't even tell it was...
how do you know when you are ready to primer the outdrive? we have a decent amount of corrosion because the previous owner didn't use zincs. what grade sandpaper do you use also? all i know is we have a lot of work to do and need some tips....anything appreciated..
