An update for those possibly experiencing the same thing: cylinders 5 & 7 failed compression test (readings were 50 and 0). We need a new long block on the starboard engine.
Thanks for your input. No disrespect taken. I am relaying the information I have been given. I am not a driver or mechanically inclined, nor do I know much about our newly purchased boat. That would currently be my husband's role (for now) and I am trying my best to learn everything I can...
Actually it didn’t seem to plane off the way it usually does and the trim tabs gauge was all the way to the starboard side. The trim tabs didn’t seem to be working according to the driver
Okay so probably not related to the clunk from earlier…
I get what everyone’s saying here about being hypersensitive to it all after the “incident” but the knocking/chugging noise is definitely new and our starboard engine shitting off multiple times while Trying to dock is new as well. The...
Thanks for your reply!

The starboard engine cut out multiple...
Unfortunately, we found out only after our purchase that the previous owner only changed a battery in the 9 years he owned it (he only drove it about 2 hours each season). So, my guess is that the last time the boat was serviced (except for the things we have fixed since) was when he bought it...
I think my last post somehow disappeared. We changed the belt, fired up the engine, no sound. A second starting of the engine a few hours later and the sound was worse than before!
