I have a 1999 270 Da and the NMMA plate is worn off. Does anyone have a picture of what the plate actually says? Its a single engine gas boat.

I have a Kiss butane cooktop and the wife is scared to death of it. So I am going to remove it (and sell later) but would like to put maybe a sunken tray with a butcher block where the cooktop was. Has anyone done something like this? Looking for pics and ideas. Thanks

I have a 1999 270 with a 7.4 mpi. I replaced the fuel pump and upon trying to start it I smelled gas. I have discovered at the back of the fuel rail right near where the fuel line connects there is a hairline spilt in the fuel rail itself. I'm not sure if it can be fixed (brazed closed) but...

Okay got the fuel pressure gauge on it. Turn on key, pump runs for a couple seconds. Guage reads 20 psi. Tried to start engine -same reading. Took guage off, release residual pressure from fuel rail. Started all over again with pressure guage -same result. So it needs a new fuel pump. Anyone...

If only it had a carb. My 71 SS has the 454 with a carb and I can rebuild that one blindfolded. This is MPI and a little harder to diagnose but I am still leaning towards the fuel injectors being all crudded up as the ethical gas does quite a number on them and people are inherently cheap when...

It has good compression. I have ordered a fuel pressure gauge and once I get that reading I'll report back here and then go from that point

Don't have a fuel pressure guage. Will need to buy or rent one. Then if fuel pressure is good, on to pulling injectors.

Have tried pushing throttle up. Same exact symptoms. Almost starts on a few cylinders but won't continue on. Never had it running as I inherited this. It onky has 284 hours on boat , was a one owner before me. At this point it seems like it may be injectors as i would think if it was anything...

Not sure about fuel pressure but when the Schrader valve is depressed gas shoots out. Pump runs when key is turned for like 5 seconds and then runs again while cranking.

Yes there would be water in the system staring at elbow and going out through the exhaust tube out the back of the boat. There would be no water in the exhaust manifolds itself. Yes it might heat up more but cars run manifolds like this for years now.
