On the 320DA the CO detector is on a separate dedicated circuit with a 1amp fuse. This gain controller is definitely wired in on the circuit for powering the TV - I just can’t get to where they spliced it in. Well I might be able to but that may involve a sawzall or something along those...
Well I pulled apart the Galley TV area trying to find wires and that 12 TV Receptacle shown in the wiring diagram. No luck finding that 12V TV receptacle (I don't think it exists). There is not a whole lot of room to work in and around there either. I've pretty much resigned myself to the...
I'm planning on adding a Blue Sea Systems 4363 panel that has a 12V socket as well as a dual-USB charger. I'm thinking I'd like to install it in that small cabinet that currently has the TV Gain Control. Since that TV Gain Control is no longer used, I was thinking of simply taking the wires...
So after my rant last night I cracked open a beer and started thinking (I do my best thinking over a beer), and while I was thinking I started shopping for a new coil. I discovered that even the OEM coil comes without the spark plug end attached to the wire. I then wondered if the existing...
In my last post I asked what we did before Amazon - I remember now - we’d buy good quality North American made parts that just worked properly instead of the Made In China crap. I purposely ordered a coil that showed in the picture as fully assembled (so the spark plug wire was all one piece)...
Back at it again today. I picked up an adjustable spark checker as well as a compression tester.
The compression test showed both cylinders at around 105-110 PSI which seems good to me.
After testing the spark on both the front and back plugs it seemed to show that the front one was not as...
Some credit/debit cards will double the warranty on some purchases. When you first bought this unit did you use a credit or debit card? Check with your bank/card issuer if they offer this coverage. Maybe you will get lucky and still have coverage? And/or maybe your new purchase will have...
I had a neighbour who was really cheap like that. I used to get free passes for golf and typically when I invited someone out for a free round they’d by me a couple of beers as a thank you. This guy, on the other hand, would conveniently “forget his wallet” when the beer cart came by...
I’m not familiar with your model, but on my ‘05 320 DA there are amps (lots of them) located under the lounge seat in the galley. Maybe look there? Also on my boat all the cockpit speakers are powered off the port battery bank, the rest are all off the starboard bank. YMMV
Good tip @Kbratko, I will check for that first. When you say you removed the molding, I assume you meant from inside? How did you do that? There are what appear to be a couple of small screw covers in the vinyl ring in the ceiling around the windows, is that actually what they are? Do they...
I do actually keep an eye on your thread, although I think I’ve only read the last 10 or 15 pages, I’m going to have to go back to the beginning now and read it all.
Coincidentally I am having a new converter installed shortly (Pronautic 1240p) which is an upgrade from the original PD2030...
Thanks for the tips, I will likely disconnect the pigtail from the fuel pump as well as pull a wire off the coil (and yes run the blowers too).
Since I'm picking your brain about this generator - I had another thread going where I had installed a battery monitor and noticed that the genny was...
Thanks for the feedback @MJD, too bad about the fridge - that sucks. Can I ask how in-depth did you get with resealing those round windows? Did you totally remove them, or did you just dig out the sealant that was there (from above) and reseal it with the 3M 4200? I assume there is probably...
