During the sea trial this spring, it was found that a motor mount for the starboard engine was loose. It appears as though the pedestal is made from a pressure treated 2x4 under several coats of fiberglass. The engine is secured to it and the hull using lag bolts. Is it possible it could have...
You might try checking the screen in the seacock. With mine, it became clogged preventing cooling water to flow through it. It kept stalling for under current and low voltage.
I am not sure if the yard replaced it when they replaced the other two engine filters. Probably not. Thanks - I will look into it. Looks like a good weekend coming up. Are you going out?
I have noticed crap getting into the screen filter when I run it in Hamburg Cove as well but most recently, I was at Napatree and I found no debre in the strainer. I think I need to flush the system again and see if I can find the piece of the missing empeller blade.
Last season we had problems keeping the generator running, getting error 62 LOC. I found debre in the strainer for the fresh water inlet a few times which after cleaning it, it temporarily cleared the fault. I asked the yard to look at it during commissiong this season, they found the coolant...
The display on my 2009 310 has lost it's seal so I am getting condensation under the display window. Does anyone know if these are repairable or do I need to replace the entire unit?
The fuel in our 310 sat for about a month following hurricaneIrene and when I finally was able to take the boat out, I noticed that the portside engine sputtered a few times - and stalled once. I think it could be aresult of the gas but could also be either a fowled plug or clogged gas...
Given the mass of the hull vs the arch, I find it hard to believe it (the hull) is flexing. Plus, there would be other evidence of this in and around the boat. Apparently it is rare as there were no other posts. I'll wait to see what the dealer and Searay come back with.
The arch mount on both the Port and Starboard sides is toeing in, almost link it is shrinking. I have sent photos to the dealer for his review with Searay.
Is this something others have seen? I would estimate each side has shifted inward by .5" or more. The silicone seal has cracked free of...
I have noticed a significant loss of pressure in the fresh water system. It like its not getting enough air to build pressure. Is there relief valve some type?
2009 310 Sundancer
Last fall I pretty much drained my tanks as requested by the yard prior to storage. Now i'm wondering if the small amount of remaining gas picked up any condensation and should I used a can of stabilizer when I fill up the tanks after she goes in the water?
Can it do any harm?

Then $3500 may not be too far out of line unless your fuel expense was a significant portion. Interesting, our current marina wants the fuel tanks empty. The last marina we had wanted them full. Since vapors are far more volatile, I would think full is better but then again, who...
JimG,
"Thin Arch" was what the marina owner said. He then went on to say if they shrink wrap over the arch, it would make it susceptible to damage from snow and high winds. I think it is a crock of crap myself. I think he just wanted to charge me for inside storage since he had the room. Would...
I have an 09 310 and live in the NewEngland area so my boat required winterization. The marina told me due to the realtivly thin Arch design of this boat, they did not want to shrink wrap it but instead, store it inside. Now you guys down south don't have this problem but the cost to store...
Can anyone tell me what a yard would likely charge to change the oil and filters on a 2009 310 with 350 Merc's - V-Drive? Also, how difficult is this process and can a novice do it?
When I first commissed the boat in April, the DTS became corrupted and when the Starboard enging was put into forward, it went in reverese. They re-flashed the DTS and it had been fine ever since.
