Has anyone thought of, or heard of, a lease-purchase arrangement for a boat?
I have a couple that wants to assume the mortgage on my boat, or work a lease-purchase type arrrangement, where they would have so long to secure financing.
I am having my attorney look into it. I am aware of...
I had someone ask me if my boat had dualk 110/200 voltage. They said they thought it was standard on this class of boat.
I am assuming it is 120 only.
Does anyone know, or know how I find out?
When I got home last night, 2 deer were fighting in my backyard. Lighting was poor, and I didn't have time to adjust the camera, and I was shooting through the pool screen.
Still thought it was pretty cool, though.
Those of you who know me know that I have 3 daughters, and they all play softball.
My 13 year old was invited to play in the World Series with a team that is about 45 miles away from our house. 3 weeks ago, she played with that same team in the State Championships on the other coast of Fl...
What's involved in repairing those little bubbles that show up, mostly on corners, between the clear coat and the material itself?
Can I somehow glue that bubble back down before it spreads too big, or am I looking at a major project?
Thanks,
Mike
Has anyone ridden in something like a Walker Bay? It seems like those would be a little sturdier and longer lasting, but I don't know about the ride quality.
Other than weight, what advantages does an inflatable have over something like a Walker Bay?
I have an XMDA-1 (?) unit that has 2 M101RC remote controls - one on the helm dash and other in the cockpit wall. Neither remote works.
I am guessing the new remotes don't work with the older units. So, to replace the remotes, I have to get a new head unit as well?
OK, being new, I'll start.
I went to Boater's World yesterday, hyped and ready to spend a month's allowance on fuel additives and treatments, and then it hit me:
Being new to diesel, I'm not sure what to get. I remembered algaecides and lubricity changers, but it gave me a headache...
My problem is this:
I have lost all focus at work, and I have decided to sell almost everything I own to buy diesel fuel.
Other than that, it's great so far.
Has anyone seen a EQ33 in action? I have a Simrad EQ32 monochrome now, and it appears that they use the same ducer, so I'm thinking of just upgrading the display, rather than haul the boat and put in a Raymarine unit.
Has anyone seen this in person?
I don't think that people make it all the way down the page to the electronics section.
Might not hurt ot move it up a bit, so folks don't forget it down there.
Our slip is a little bigger than it needs to be, and leaves a couple of feet between the boat and the dock.
I just looked in my marine catalog, and the boarding ladders I saw were crazy expensive.
Any cheap options out there?
The boat came with a b/w simrad eq32. I checked to make sure it was working, but didn't really worry too much with it otherwise.
Now, I am sure that I can't live with display.
My dilemma is this:
- I can get a raymarine blackbox, and run it into the e120, but that would require a new...
My new boat has a KVH dish. The marina that we are in includes cable as part of the monthly rental fee. Can I switch between shore cable and KVH? I didn't have my shore cable connector today, so I couldn't try it. The sales folks thought if I turned off the KVH unit, then I could.
Or, do...
I take delivery on Friday.
Part of the sale is orientation by the delivery captain, who also has offered to ride along on my 3 hour trip home (about 10 mile sby land, but about 60-70 by water).
If I agree to let him come, do I tip the guy at the end?
I've never had a captain come along...
Do these really work? Looking for a few cabin decor items, and I was considering a clock with a tide clock on it, but not sure if it's worth the trouble.
I was also looking for a new fishing watch, and was gonna do the same, but again, not sure if it's worth it.
Good grief.
When I went to reinsure my 2002 380, it was bad enough. Trying to get insurance on a Year 2000 is almost impossible in Florida.
I suspect this will cost me something like 8k for insurance.
If anyone has any great ideas, please let me know.
Thanks.
