BlackJack, So funny!! I hate that same sand bar. I'm a local guy and have gone aground twice!!! can't trust the GPS. I even stuck my JETSKI once! When I launch from Ft. DeSoto I take it slow out to the gulf and wear my sunglasses to look for the change in colors.

I do anchor a lot and we like to "sandbar hop" a lot. My wife gets intimidated behind the wheel so most of the time is a one man operation. Its a pain in the %&*, specially when windy.
