If the motor is running and the drive doesn't respond then its the worm gear or gear bolted to the drive that lifts the outdrive. I had an electric shift with the same problem and it was the worm gear. Good luck

Hello, looking for some help. I have a 1981 srv310 that came with 454 330hp. I just bought another Sea Ray at auction with fresh 350's 255hp. The latter has strait drives and my 310 has vdrives. I need to know what ratio Vdrives I need to run if I repower from 454's to 350's:huh: Thanks, John

No windless or hatch supports. The rudders bolt on from the back of the transum, not through the bottom. The rudders and struts look in great shape. I'll check for numbers today.

The table is in great shape however the post has surface rust. The v drives are untested but look good. When the boat was run last there were no issues with them. The teak in the stern is weathered and i've found some small cracks. I guess it depends how bad yours are. I'll get some pics. I'm...

The hatches are not great but usable. If there for your 79 I think they are different. The 79 that I had used duel teak hatches in the middle with 2 engine hatched on either side. This has 1 large hatch with a teak insert. The horn looks aftermarket. Thanks, John

Wondering if anyone knows if there is a rebuild kit you can buy for the windless anchor on a mid 80's Sea Ray. Its very common and on most 30' plus Sea Ray's in the 80's. Mine works well but leaks oil.

I sold my 1979 300 Express to purchase a 1981 310 Sundancer with twin 454 V drives. I think its very similiar to the Vangaurd. My Sundancer has an aft cabin so there is alot more room than my Express that had strait drives. The archive was a big help cause there's not alot of these left to look...
