    Bimini Trip 2013

Randy -- I talked to Tim this morning. Go ahead and add Tim & Christine to the list. To Dive For is the name of their boat. I'll email him the info for slip reservations and I'll be sure to tell him that accepting the invite will cost him a bottle of Blue Label. So, make sure Brad is there to...

    Bimini Trip 2013

We'll need a room, but Anya can call. If I recall , 205-207 are the rooms we usually get. Besides the plane, there is also the sunken boat about 40 feet down just west of the island. So much to do and so little time!

    Bimini Trip 2013

It's been a while since I've been on this forum -- great to see so much new activity and interest in group Bimini trips. Although I sold my Sea Ray and I'm currently in-between having a boat with sleeping accommodations (I still have a center console that I'd take over), I'd like to join you...

Free 48 Sedan Bridge and Cat 3196 Stuff

Cleaning out my garage and I have a couple of boxes of Cat 3196 filters, spares, etc and some misc spares from my 1999 48 Sedan Bridge. If you're in SE Florida and want to come by and pick the boxes up, you can have them. If you have a 48 Sedan Bridge or Cat 3196s, I'm sure you'll be able to...

Jack Ensley Tribute ---- Flippy Floppy Armada Forever

Jack was a terrific guy who I was fortunate enough to meet and get to know while on the trip to Boca Chita. Although we first met just a couple of years ago, it seemed like I knew him, and the other flippy floppies, much longer. When it came to boating, once Jack decided what he wanted to...

    Florida

I agree with Don. I got tired of the Chicago cold and moved my family down to Lighthouse Point when my kids were in junior high. It would have been easier on them if we did it when they were younger, but after the adjustment, we're all down here and they settled in. One kid is in college in...

    Bimini/or Port Luccaya

You still going to Bimini this weekend if the seas are good? Who else is going? I was in the ocean most of today and it was pretty nice out there....made me want to just head over to the islands.

    Bimini/or Port Luccaya

Lance, Check out my last post again. Randy is the guy I'm trying to recruit to join us. I asked you the questions. Do you know what the range is for the 100 gallons you carry? how many mpg do you get?

    Bimini/or Port Luccaya

Lance, Yes, the plan is to stop in west end so one of the boats can fuel. Do you know how much fuel you carry and what your safe range is? Where would your departure inlet/port be in Florida? If we could only get Odyssey and his crew, along with our other regulars to join the trip, we'd be...

    Bimini/or Port Luccaya

If anyone is interested, we have 4 boats leaving SE Florida (Hillsboro & Boca inlets) on June 30th and returning July 12th. We are heading to the Abacos with a mid-morning stop for those needing fuel in West End. Plans are to stay in Green Turtle, Marsh Harbor and Hope Town. We are also planning...

    Bimini Trip August 19-23

My plans are finally set to make this trip. I'll be headed over on Friday. I'll be leaving Hillsboro Inlet mid to late morning. Anya and the kids are staying behind. A friend, Kevin, from Chicago will be going over with me. We will most likely be taking the center console over instead of the Sea...

What Can U Tow behind a 480 Sedan Bridge?

Just curious what the size & towing limitations are behind a 480 Sedan Bridge with 3196 Cats. Please post what you've towed (longer distance and/or in blue water). If you have pictures of the bridle & tow set-up, please post. Trying to figure out the realistic size limitations, effect on...

    Sportport vs. Jet Dock

I've seen a bunch of Sportports in the water in my neighborhood and would prefer that over the Jet Dock. Sleek, sit at a nice angle, not too wide/bulky, high enough out of the water, etc... I've been looking too and heavily lean toward the Sportport.

    Exuma trip this summer?

Just an fyi...we arrived in Bimini and checked in here. They've now raised their clearance fee. Effective today, the fee is no longer $300 including 4 people on the boat. Now, it is $300 plus $20/person. For the 3 of us, it was $300 + $20x3 for a total of $360. You can still go back in 90 days...

    5 hp will it plane???

I ordered a set of the lifters today for a 9'2" hard bottom Achilles with a 6HP Suzuki 4 stroke. I'll be bringing the lifters to the Bahamas next week, assuming they arrive by Wednesday. My plan is to run the boat as is, then install and compare the difference. Since the last time I ran it, I...
