Sweet boat! But I'm biased:smt043
I do like the looks of the decals when it's in the water, but the inevitable thing is I already scratched one...no big deal until they get scratched more IMHO.
Does anyone have a good source for ordering and replacing decals?
Almost all of my boating will be in brackish and salt waters. I'm not sure what type of sacrificial metals (alum or zinc) came on my merc stern drive when I purchased the boat. Regardless, should they be aluminum?
Thanks
Haven't bought a test light...guess I should. The thing is is it works sometime, but more often it barely glows. I think the issue may be with the actual connector on my truck. Guess I will buy a test light!
Thanks
I have a 2003 Silverado that pulls my SR. Recently I changed out the 5 pole to a 7 pole plug on my boat trailer's wiring harness so I would not have to deal with the 7 pole adapter going into the back of my truck's electrical. For the life of me, the right turn signal on my trailer barely...
Yea. I've looked under there and noticed all the wiring. Very nicely laid out so that will make it easy to find a hot and ground point. As far as the antenna, I believe it's built into the 440. The making of a hole on the console to drop the wire through is the part I don't like.
Would love...
Hey everyone. Was wondering if Sea Ray owners out there think decals on the sides of the hull are a nuisance? Was thinking about removing mine but can't quite picture how'd it look. Rather plain?
Holy fish poo, batman! Now talk about putting yourself out there on the forum!
I've had it out and running the first time last Summer (bought it in August), late. In fact, I drug the skeg through a shallow area. Needless to say, part of the skeg needs some painting. I bought the Merc...
You bet. Wash and flush after every salt water run. This is preventative maintenance you'll appreciate doing since as you know, salt is very corrosive and costly.

I can't believe that I did this. I picked up my 240 Sun Deck today after having it commissioned for the coming summer fun. When I got it to its destination, I lowered the stern drive about a inch from the asphalt.
So what did I do next? I went and unhooked from my truck's hitch...
Well folks, this is what I settled on. The Garmin GPSMAP 440 Portable GPS Marine Chart Plotter with 4" QVGA Display and Satellite-Enhanced Worldwide Basemap. Here's the link.

The only part I think I will hate doing is installing the swivel mount...
Thanks a lot, Chuck! The pictures bring back memories, especially the USS TRUMAN (CVN 75) which was my last aircraft carrier before I retired.
