Been a while since I've posted. Wife and I are on the way from Orange Beach, AL to Bahamas. Currently in Coral Gables and looking to cross Okeechobee tomorrow. 5 days running, sleeping and repeat. Did manage to stop in Sarasota last night and had a blast! Couple of fixes and upgrades. I...

I've gotten the same advice from my mechanic. In fact, he went so far as to suggest making the inboard filter your "primary". If you get fuel contamination, you switch to outboard. It's much easier to change inboard if you find yourself in rough seas and have to do a switch. I carry spares...

No but they fit well as I used the screw mount on the speakerbar. Here's the link if you are interested. The smaller version would probably fit the rail better, but I wanted a little more heft to hold on to the speaker. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CQPANY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

That's where my hydraulic swim lift controller is. The screw above it has a strap on mine that snaps to the door to hold it open as you stated.

T Here’s how I solved the forward music problem. Use an older gem Bazooka g3 partybar. Bluetooth and really fills the bow with sound. Pricier but I already had it. Used quick fist to secure it to the rails. Bazooka now has battery powered marine tubes. Been seeing them on a lot of the...

Look at that clean hull!!! I'm passing thru Destin in Nov headed to Ft. Meyers for the Okeechobee crossing en route to Bahamas. Hope to see you again! Will overnight in Destin then to Carrabelle for the jump based on weather. Hoping to catch Jack at points South for a beer as well!

No problems with my water heater, but I've had to replace the Tee's on the bulkhead ahead of the sump tank. Water alarm tripped both times, but my pump was cycling also, so I knew I had a leak somewhere. Couldn't find the right size fittings locally so I went online. I've had good luck with...

Looks great!!! Where did you get those rodholder plugs? My rodholders fill with water and this looks like a good solution.

Anyone need spare props? Friend of a friend has two that he says came off a 450. I don't know anything about them nor have I verified size or pitch. I think he's looking to get $1500 for both. DM me if interested and I'll pass contact info along.

Very nice! I'm shopping right now like a kid with a Sears Catalog in Nov (If you know, you know). I really like the looks of the skeleton frame with Stamoid.

Hey Jack, I'd love to see them. I'll DM you my email if you don't mind. Mostly interested in the mount points. Are you happy with the Stamoid(?) cover? I am intersted in something able to hold flexible solar panels that doesn't break the bank.

That would be awesome but please don't go out of your way. Mostly interested in the mount points for load bearing and structure of the frame. Just kicking it around right now but I've got hardtop envy of a few boats in my marina....

I have a new pump and float. May just leave the old one in place and extend the hose to the new pump further aft. Thanks for all the pointers!

It's the "If money wasn't an object" part that gets me every time...:), but thats a great idea! I'll start looking around south AL and NW Fl for someone that might be interested... As an update to the electrical problem with starboard starter I was having.... swapped the switch out at the helm...

Anyone ever considered a custom hardtop for the 450? I'm afraid of the cost, but would LOVE to be able to drop 600-800 watts of solar on top of it. I know there were some factory hardtops (for Disney?). Any idea where the mount points were for the factory hardtop? I'd love to get my hands on...

I discussed this issue directly with the travel lift operator and he kindly spread the blocks at the top of the lift out so the straps were about 1/2" from the vents. Didn't even touch them. I had flat fenders on standby as well.

Found on another SR forum that these helm start switches are not sealed and can be taken apart and cleaned. Will try that first and report back. https://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/engine-start-switch.105862/

Electrical update: Batteries are good (AGM) No draw after turning off battery disconnects. No (unexpected) draw after disconnects back on and switches turned on one at a time. Almost have convinced myself the starter switch (or something along that path) may be acting up? Had the starboard...

Just crossed from key west to Marco island with no issues. Once I get to Clearwater I will do the troubleshooting listed I gave all the busses a once over and seemed fine to this layman. I will check water tonight to verify levels but batteries are less than 6 months old. REALLY appreciate...
