    Leaking oval windows

I too was amazed at how well secured they are. I lightly caulked around the outside frame and then replaced the screens and gaskets. I'll let you know how it works. MJK

    Portable gas grills?

I purchased a Weber Q100 grill for my boat. It works great and I use it outside of boating as well. For a mount, I used a fish cutting table that fits in the rod holder with a piece of plastic screwed in the front to keep it stabilized. Storing it on a 250, well that's another story. MJK

    Bottom paint-Skip a year??

I painted my bottom(boat) at the beggining of the 2007 season with the recommended solution from Interlux. 1 - Lay down numerous coats of their Interprotect 2000E barrier coat (bottom never painted and clean when I purchased it) 2 - Lay down 1 coat of a very bright color of Micron Extra...

On another board I was asking about replacing them. I was told parts $650 installation 4 hours. I'll probably end up doing them myself this winter. 4 x $90 = $360 for labor. MJK

    Cabin door lock on a 1998 250DA

I installed the new lock today as well as fixed the clasp on the undersink door in the bathroom. The lock I purchased from Flounder was a perfect fit. They even matched up the lock to the keys I already have, so I don't need to get any more made. Thank you everyone for your help with this! MJK

Have you ever been in a boating accident?

I am not sure about the law, but... I don't think this would apply if you felt endagered by his agression and then once on the boat, his attack. I may be wrong but if some guy is talking trash about me, and he is in need of assistance, I would not offer assistance. By inviting him abourd your...

    Cabin door lock on a 1998 250DA

Thanks for all the help. I tried that one screw, but it wouldn't budge. I guess all the goop to seal it in was holding tight. I looked up in the SeaRay parts guide and it appears to be a mobella 762872. I did some searching and found them on fpmarine for $59. I have to just verify it before I...

    Questions about repossessed boats

Congrats, that sounds like a steal to me. It's also nice to hear of a company in the marine industry that seems to care about the customer. Best of luck with the new ride, she looks awesome! MJK
