i have an 04 280 , B3 , dual propset ,
rear nut is 1 7/16" , sears socket (1 1/4 "deep , 3/4 drive , about $ 18)
fwd nut is 2 3/4 " ( bought a used crows foot 1/2 " drive @ a used tool store $ 20 )
adapt to 1/2 " drive breaker bar as neccessary .
Cancel that "prop" wrench !!!
I had one that acted like u say . Took it apart & found the screws had backed out of the motor mount plate . Put it back together & worked fine . Can also ck to see if your ground(s) are green. Possibly your motor might jus be "tired ".
ok Chelepop , heres the 1st of many I may have . I have a 280DA , 2004 , 496 eng., B3 , dual propset , smartcraft ( basic version ) . A few seconds after I get on plane and trim out , the whistle blows and i have " trim fault " in the smartcraft LCD , analog gage goes to zero . Comes back on...

R U pre-wired in the anchor locker ? Is there a connector in the bilge for the relay ? Which side ? same with bus bars in the bilge ? I have a 280DA i put a windlass in , not sure about your layout
