Spent a very nice weekend on Lake Patoka in Southern Indiana. Very Nice, clean lake. Saw a good number of Sea Rays here. Only problm was the jerk on the jet ski zooming around us as we were tied up with another boat. When I asked him to stop, he threw out a vulger threat. That's when the marine...
Just in case anyone is interested, I have a Navy Blue Sea Ray bimini boot for sale CHEAP on ebay. I think it is for a 18' to 20' Boat. Got it with my 220SD, but it was too small.
Just got back from Lake Norfork in ARK. I saw a Sea Ray with the name "Mental Floss" that I'm pretty sure I;ve seen on CSR. Nice Boat. and a Great! week on the lake.
Anyone know what the normal operating temp should be on this engine configuration? Just had mine out, and it is staying just slightly above 170. Is this normal? what is yours running at? I just bought the boat last august, and don't quite remember what it was doing last year. Seems to be doing...
Started to pull my 220 SD without realizing the drive was down. Now I have a skeg that looks like a captive killer whale fin. ( :smt013 Any suggestions on how to straighten? should I heat it up to straighten?
Thanks for all the info on the oil draining. Now, does anyone have a recommendation on oil weight? I'm without an owners manual, and web sites are all over the books... Synthetic?:smt100
I thought I'd do it myself, but I can't find how to drain the oil. I thought when I bought this "used" that the dealer told me there was a valve with a line to drain out of the stern plug drain hole. Is this correct, and if so, where is the valve? If not, do I heed a pump to drain the oil?
Does anyone know if a hydrofoil (such as a Stingray XPIII, or SE Sport 300) will fit on a 220 Sundeck, or will it hit th swim platform with the drive up?
I have a '03 220 Sundeck, and was wondering if anyone has used a hydrofoil ie: stingray, whaletail, or anything else on a like boat. Has it helped? Hole shot, top end, etc.
Thanks.
