What's the difference between the 400 and 410 Sundancers??

It's true that the 410EC has a single head, but oarwhat, the OP asked about the 2000's 410DA vs the 400DA. In that era, it looks like both the 410DA and the 400DA had a 2 head layout.

What's the difference between the 400 and 410 Sundancers??

Isn't the 400 a single head layout whereas the 410 has a second head in the aft area of the saloon?

I ended up adding 4 more gallons of fuel to the tank to bring it to 8 total. At the same time I added the correct amount of Seafoam (well, maybe just a tad bit more than the recommended number of ounces on the label). I let the Seafoam work in the tank for about an hour and that did the trick...

So last night I finally did something I have not done before - I ran out of gas. Or at least I thought I did. My gauge showed about 1/8 of a tank and I hate to admit it, but I know I have been down in that range before and had no problems. Anyway, was cruising along at 3400 rpm when about a mile...

Donewith - I just noticed this discussion and Todd's last item on it "Mine has the 2:20 and I should have mentioned that with the RPMs and engine size I have. I would think with the correct 2:20 gears and the 6.2 the 26" would be ideal. RByers has a 6.2(383) and if you PM him, he may volley in...

What's this? A 650 Fly possibly? A spotting of an elusive vessel!

The marine max guys in Wrightsville put on a great event. Everyone there seemed to be having a very good time. Plenty of food and drinks and they worked hard to show everyone around the 650 without making it crowded. Rusty, of course, was everywhere helping everybody. But Geez - Seems I couldn't...

The 650FLY and Capt. Rusty Had a Very Special Surprise Guest

First - Thank you to everyone in the Clubsearay community for your support and kind words. Thank You especially to Frank Webster. Frank - The Captain would never be the one to say much about himself, so it is great that you started this thread, just like you were the catalyst way back at the...

    Frank Websters Birthday

Frank, Boy are you ever right. When it comes to favorite days - Merritt Island with yourself, Rusty and the rest of the great Sea Ray folks will always be one of our favorite boating days as well. Heck, one of our favorite days period. Of course, we are still pretty happy that Brody didn't do...

    Frank Websters Birthday

Frank, Happy Belated Birthday. Thank you for everything you have done for my family. I hear you on 9/11. Kim & I were down on Wall Street that morning in 2001. We will never forget pretty much every moment of that day.

Al, Glad to hear you are back out there running. When I had the 5.7 in my boat I was running 24p props on my B3 and the numbers you are getting - 36 mph @ 4200 rpm were about the best I could get out of mine in real world conditions - half tank of fuel, half tank of fresh water, 5 - 6 hundred...

A puzzle to be sure!!! !@#$%^&*

Seems like you are running for extended periods of time at 4700 RPM. While the engine can reach that RPM for short durations, running it at such high RPMs continually will burn an awful lot of fuel, probably shorten its lifespan, cause premature component failures and will also put a lot of...

Al, Hate to hear about water in your block. The same thing happened to me when I bought my boat. Thought I was getting a really good deal as the price was way below market average. And thought I was very careful in inspecting the boat, but....In my case, it was exhaust manifolds that were on...

Al, Assuming you did a visual inspection of your props and saw no damage and due to the fact that you said the boat is running smoothly at current WOT (no vibrations to indicate bent blades or anything on the props) - your problem does not sound like props to me at all. I don't think you can...

Al, do you have the Mercury Bravo 3 Duoprop outdrive on your boat? That is the standard unit that was installed on these boats at the factory. If so, your props should be 22 or 24 pitch stainless steel. The pitch is stamped on the props.

Al - Welcome to CSR. Your numbers are way low and could be due to a variety or combination of reasons. I would say that those performance numbers should not have gotten by the surveyor / sea trial phase of your purchase a few weeks ago. You should be able to cruise at about 22-23 mph at 3300 rpm...

    Run boat equipment on lift?

Another aspect to consider in pumping sea water up to the boat on the lift is that at the end of the system, all of that water will have to fall back down the same distance. The constant splashing on the surface below from that height could be pretty loud, especially for those trying to sleep...

kilroy, You may have a fuel delivery problem that only shows up at low/idle speeds, especially when the engine is hot and fuel can boil in the lines if the flow is diminshed or restricted. May be your anti-siphon valve at the fuel tank is dirty or your fuel/water separator is too full.

Al, I mounted my 545s in that area of the access panel you are considering - to the lower left of the wheel, just below the trim tab switches - flush mounted. It works great, the display is out of the sun and always very bright. It is easy to see when sitting and not all that difficult when...

    2013 CSR Carolinas Coastal Rendezvous

Have not been before, but would be very interested in attending - especially in Wilmington, our home port or the Bald Head Island area. Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach sure has a lot to offer as far as restaurants and great boating beaches, like Masonboro, Figure Eight and Carolina Beach (where...
