    New Canvas

OK, thanks for that I will try asking for a 99 330DA. I was surprised myself as I understood at the time SeaRay sold more 330DA s than any other model.

    New Canvas

Thanks for the reply. I've already contacted Great Lakes, they no longer have the patterns for my boat. The guy at Harvard claims he has the original patterns but so far hasn't provided a reference customer I could speak to.

The contacts wear out on the linear actuator after time. Get the manufacturer name and model number off the actuator, search the web and replace it with a new one. A very simple job. Rgds Nick.

    Stuffing box Help

Once you have removed the seal and before fitting the new one, put the shaft back in and make sure it is centered in the stern tube. If it is not centered then the new seal will leak just as badly as the current seal.

    Blown hot water heater--ARGH!!

Why does anybody buy/replace/install these crappy water heaters? I had two fail on the engine water side before abandoning the idea and relying on the genny and electric heater. In my view the problem is caused by the way Attwood weld the aluminum hose barb fitting to the aluminum heat...

    Water leaks in headliner.

This problem on my boat was caused by bad caulking on the deck hatches. The water leaks in and then filters down the foam inside the headliner and comes out the sides. When I took the deck hatches off I discovered that SeaRay had only used a small amount of caulk to seal them to the deck, they...

    Correct trim cylinder/ram behaviour..?

Are these Bennett trim tabs? If so I think the rams are single acting. That is to say they have a spring in for one direction and the hydraulics only pump against the spring. Rgds Nick.

    Broken door track Need help

I forgot to mention when you come to put the cover back, put it on dry and then caulk the join very lightly with 3M 4000 UV sealant. One day you will have to remove it to clean and maybe replace the rollers on the door track. Spend plenty of time putting the masking tape on before you apply...

    Official 330 Sundancer Thread

    1) You need to remove the aft seat completely before moving the engine hatch to the vertical position. 2) You cannot leave it on the aft point as the angles are too great and the actuator is not powerful enough to move the cover. 3) As far as I can make out the aft position is just to open...

Replacement lens for Bomar S616-SS portlight

The lenses have become crazed so you can't see through them plus they look awful. This is apparently quite a common problem with acrylic so I don't understand why Bomar don't sell replacements or why the various other hatch repair companies don't sell replacements for such a common portlight...

Replacement lens for Bomar S616-SS portlight

The portlight is an oval window not one half of the navigation lights (a port light and a starbord light). I am certain that the portlights on your boat as well as mine are Bowmar.

Replacement lens for Bomar S616-SS portlight

Ric, perhaps you could give me the name and phone number of the person at Pompanette/Bowmar who deals with this. Their customer support insists they don't sell replacement lenses for these portlights.
