Dave is dead-on, on all accounts. You can't really get any parts from Quicksilver, but as soon as you figure out what else used that engine, you should be able to get all the engine parts that aren't Quicksilver-specific. This is the case with all marine generators.

Gas. People will chime in and say diesel, and yes, they have their advantages, but for the usage you're talking about, they really won't be worth it.

Any decent auto paint supply store can scan it and come up with a color formula. Don't listen to anyone says they can only be painted with Awlgrip. It's simply just not true. several of the different paints in the DuPont ( Axalta) line are fantastic, and Imron is even better than Awlgrip.
