Post a photo of the back of the remote start switch panel that clearly shows the connections and wire colors. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out the wiring with that information.
A woman in the Sea Ray Owners group on Facebook said that this happened around the corner from her. She commented thusly, "If anyone wants to know what happened: (besides no safety straps) they were speeding and tailgating a black dodge ram in front of them. The black truck slammed on the breaks...
I think that we can probably agree that the docks at Frank Farley are in awful condition, the hotel is ... tired, and that in general, Atlantic City is still a dump 42 years after they approved casino gambling that promised to "save" Atlantic City.
If we do this again next year, I think moving...
I had a heck of a time when I removed my boat's genset. The Westerbeke diagram showed one more wire than what SeaRay used. I guess Sea Ray was trying to save a dollar and spent some engineering effort of reducing the wire count required for the remote panel. I had to diagram out the switches and...
Probably needs to be grounded to the Dynaplate grounding shoe that Sea Ray installs if the boat is ordered with nav gear or the nav gear prep package. I forget if Sea Ray connected the Dynaplate to the bonding system alone or if they brought a bonding wire up to the helm. Look for a green wire...
Okay. "Top end" usually refers to the cylinder heads and it's components, which is why I was confused.
It could be either valve timing or the valve train and there's little that you can diagnose from outside. You might see a problem with the valve train by pulling the covers and cranking the...
Sounds like fuel starvation to me. Are you sure you setup the carburetor's idle circuits correctly? Try pumping the throttle a bit more to see it she fires.
I don't believe that a 2005 has catalytic converters nor lambda sensors. Without lambda sensors it cannot go closed loop. Furthermore, once the lambda sensor starts showing a signal, the PCM switches to closed loop mode.
I'm pretty sure that his problem isn't the ECT.
It's trivial. I think your boat is arranged the same as mine. I fixed mine in less than an hour pretty much within a few weeks of buying my boat. I believe your DC panel, like mine, is right behind the wall of the head compartment. All you need to do is fish a new wire into the head's light...
Sounds like the EFI is doing too much cold engine enrichment or it's too lean a mixture to fire when cold You need to connect a scanner to see if and why it's excessively rich or lean. Other than that, was the fuel system and rail flushed following the replacement of the cool fuel module? If the...
I do not understand how you performed a "top end rebuild" without changing the head gaskets! I really don't understand that you did a top end rebuild without removing valve covers. What do you consider a "top end rebuild?" If your engine didn't look like this, you didn't do a top end rebuild...
Why are you asking? Are your engines throwing codes?
Never had a problem with the MAP sensor on either engine in the boat. Never had a problem with a MAP sensor on any of the cars. They are very robust little devices!
The engine won't fire or it won't crank. Huge difference in symptom that makes a big difference for the potential problem and solution.
How did you test the battery? What voltmeter? Are you referencing the voltmeter at the helm or are you using a good DVM to measure voltages?
If you don't...
I had that same problem. A friend who is a field technical liaison for Porsche said that they use Time-Serts to fix all damaged threads. Since he already had the installation tools, I bought a couple of the correct size stainless steel inserts. Problem solved.
The nice thing about Time-Serts is...
I completely forgot that I hung the "wingless" dog toy, although, unlike Gary's dogs, Burnie didn't rip the wings off this one. On the other hand, he didn't understand why his toy was there.
The 2009 trip was great and reminded me how much I miss Dom. I hope that this weekend's trip won't be...
As always, Frank is on-target. That happened to me on my previous boat. Not quite a trivial repair, but simple enough to do without moving the engine.
Regarding pulling the engine... I pulled the engine from that boat, fixed an issue with the exhaust system, replaced the leaky oil pan, and put...
I didn't mean to impugn the members of the group. Some 'people' who were not members of the group in 2015, we found to be disgustingly, outrageously obnoxious.
Based on that experience Cheryl refuses to go back to H dock. We didn't hear the ruckus last year, so Cheryl isn't upset about that...
