Took the boat out on Tuesday and while cruising at 30+ feet of water I hit something submerged like an unmarked rock or something and ruined my prop and broke a good chunk off...

Went out last weekend to lake Zoar and to the coast of Branford CT! My son and I had a great time along with our friend Ivo. The temperature was a bit crisp, but the skies were blue and it was sunny!

Ok, now that my boat is running what should the temperature gauge be reading?
It goes up to 145 and stays there... is 145 the right temperature?
I'm using a new thermostat that I bought from a Mercury boat dealer.

Hello fellow Connecticut boaters!
With the 2009 season around the corner it would be nice to make some plans, arrange some events and all of that good stuff for the upcoming season!

Do any of you boating friends paint or touch-up the motor paint. Mine is black, but I am noticing some spots of rust and was wondering if I can buy engine paint that can be brushed on to cover/protect and "kill" rust spots?
I understand this are from salt and water, etc... but I think it would...

Throw it in the dishwasher when the wife isn't looking. Use the pot scrubber cycle. It works very well!!:thumbsup:

Mercruiser (GM) 4.3 V6
Alpha One Outdrive
Boat has been seating for about a year.
I noticed there was some gas in there, but not much...
