I want to install these led strips as deck lights on the same line as my courtesy lights. Should I buy a female barrel connector with bare wires and cut before or after the controller or just cut the barrel connector after the controller and rewire to fuse block?
I'm thinking go one switch at a time and run wire to appropriate device. I can do basic wiring but I'm not sure about those connections. Wish I could just wire straight to corresponding switch. Any suggestions appreciated. Im on vacation and would like to wire my led deck lights and spot lights...

I got some negative feedback on installing LED lights in front of my boat to see waves and structure and also for docking. Below is a photo of the mounted on the front of the boat I would have a switch that I can turn off and on. Just looking for some feedback and or input.
