I have seen inboard ski boats like master crafts with over 4000 hrs on them and still running strong. I have an Infinity inboard with 2500 hrs on it and it runs as good as the day it was built. I think ski boats are used harder that cursers so I think 3000hrs on a well maintained engine should...
You have to pull the out drive. I did it this winter in the boat I bought to make sure I didn’t have any trouble with it. Get a manual and it is not that hard.
I have a 1985 230 weekender, it has 2 prong round 12V accessory plugs to run dc accessories. Does any one know where I can buy the plug that plugs into the boat?
Thanks George
Welcome, I have learned a lot here. I have a 85 weekender that I bought this winter. I resealed the lower end put a new water pump in it. Took it to the water a mounth ago and every thing worked great. Good Luck George
It is a 1988 alpha one MR, I have done it before on a outboard, I think they set it up with a backlash setting from what I have seen on line. I have a friend that is going to lend me the tools if he can find them, if not I can make what I need. He can’t find his manual. Thanks George
I can make the tools, I have a dial indicator I just need the spec. This is an old boat and I am just getting it ready to sell, so I don’t want to buy a manual for it. It is not the one in the pic. Thanks George

No, you guys don't understand, the 5200 ft is elevation. We have 15% less HP then at sea level. No air here. I got three props with the boat including a shift prop. I will play with those when the water warms up. That 34 MPH was with it trims down, engine turning 4000 RPM, I didn't...
I put my 1985 230 weekender in the water for the first time since I bought it Tuesday. I have been doing preventive maintenance on it. I resealed the OMC out drive and installed a water pump as well as a transom seal. The boat performed flawless and all went well. The 5.7 260 HP didn’t miss a...
I just sold a 1993 19ft Ski Ray and had one fellow give me $100.00 to hold the boat for a week while he got financing. I was selling it for $6500.00. He called me back telling me he couldn’t get a loan on anything older than a 2000. He said he was even going to put $3000.00 down and they would...
