    Deck Repair Options

I drilled probably 25+ as it was my whole upper deck. Pic’s above. It turned out pretty well. The deck is super solid. They told me that stuff would find its way out and I had two spots where it came through the roof of cabin and leaked onto cushions. I forgot to cover area with plastic, but...

    Deck Repair Options

I just did my Injectadeck repair this past weekend. It seems pretty solid. I had the same issues from the windshield and hatch. Resealed the hatch with 4200. I still have to fix the windshield issue. The gentleman from Injectadeck suggested using Simpson Strong tie in the screw holes to seal...

    Anyone ever use Injectadeck?

Thanks for the reply!! I do have a windshield issue as the previous owner tried to fix with Silicone and have a lot of softness in that area as you step through the windshield onto the deck. Instead of getting a new gasket he tried to ghetto it. I guess drilling it will have to be the way to...

    Anyone ever use Injectadeck?

I’m resurrecting this thread for any long term updates? I have ordered the large kit to do the front deck on my 215 E/C. I speaking with the gentleman from Injectadeck he feels the windshield is what’s causing the main issue and am going to use Simpson Strong Tie to fill the screw holes the...

    Deck Repair Options

I spoke the the Injectadeck folks today. Nice people!!! Gave me a whole Tutorial on what to do and how to attack this issue from the side. I ordered the kit and will try to get this done when it arrives. I’ll see if I can do a write up and get a lot of pictures.

    Deck Repair Options

Yes, will be pulling the hatch for sure. But having never taken it off I just wondered is it even an option to get at it from the side? Either way it needs to come out to be re-sealed so I’ll just look and see.

    Deck Repair Options

We have a 96 215 Express Cruiser we bought last year that has some soft areas on the front deck around the hatch. Mostly on Starboard side and between the window and the hatch. The port side is fairly solid. I assume from leaking over time. Researching options and thinking of trying...

    Official 215 Express Thread

Have a question, we got our boat out a few weeks ago and never really noticed this when we bought it but when I was up front on the bow ( to the left and right of hatch) the deck seemed to have some give. It was extremely hot though (98-102) and had been in the Sun all day. I’m about 265 and...

    Bilge Question

We don’t leave it in the water. It’s in a valet lot and they put it in and take it out when we want to use it. Going to have a mechanic take a look and let me know what they think. Thanks all for the recommendations!

    Bilge Question

Yes, spit out a stream of water for like 15- 30 seconds

    Bilge Question

Is it normal for your bilge to kick on for like 15-30 seconds about every 45 mins/hour or so at anchor? Plug is tight. Where else may I have a small Water intrusion to look for?

    Engine oil Recommendation..?

I went through this on Bobistheoilguy forums and just decided to go with the Mercruiser 25w-40 semi syn because of the corrosion protection factor. It has a decent dose of zinc as well for the my engines cam.

    Children on the Bow

We grew up riding the Bow of our IMP Inca 23 back in the 70’s. With legs dangling over the side and all. Just like we didn’t have seatbelts in our cars and we all lived. Of course back then there was probably 1/10th the traffic on the lake and roads as there is today. Now we know better……

OllieC, Thank You, I just actually got off the phone with our local dealer and he suggested same thing. Sea Ray Part is like $150ish. He said just buy a 9” grab rail and bolt it up with the washers as well. Good tip on chamfering the holes. How much would you think?
