So it’s been awhile since the coolant has been changed in my engines and I was wondering if anyone knows the coolant capacities of these 6V92’s? Thanks in advance!
Check with partsfortechs.com. I got a lot of parts for the Quicksilver generator I had in my 89 390 EC from them. They have/had just about everything for them. You might want to convert the distributor points set up to a Petronix electronic pickup while you are in there too.

The Tbird was my fathers. It has 74k on it and is going down to the frame for a well deserved restoration. The car is still in excellent shape.

I'm changing all the fluids in the boat and I have a question on the trans fluid, specifically the v drive fluid. I have ZF transmissions with the v drives separate from the transmissions. They call for an SAE30 oil. My question is since the ZFs take an SAE 30, do the v drives take SAE 30...
I use a few 9x12 painters canvas drop cloths to cover my seats. They're lightweight and fold up small when you are ready to head out. They're not pretty but do a great job of keeping the nasties off my seats.
My carpet was run up to the couch. I just have the moveable autuman on the end next to the stairs. I can email you some pics if you'd like. I'm headed there in about an hr or so to do some other work and can take some pics then.
I got mine pulled up last week. I can't decide if I'm going back with carpet or doing hardwood. The carpet came up fairly easy but the millions of staples they used on the hatch covers are a different story.
Hi guys,
I'm having to remove my windlass to have some glass work done in that area (soft spot)/. I have loosened the 4 nuts that attach the gear housing thru the fiberglass and removed the motor to lessen the weight when/if it decides to come down. When looking at a parts diagram it seems...
If it is a turbo, it is a fairly straight forward repair. Changing one out is about a 2 hr job. You can opt to have it rebuilt or purchase a reman from a Detroit dealer or reputable dealer.
Pull your air filter and and inspect for side to side movement of the shaft. Also, take a flashlight and look at the edges of the turbine and interior of the housing to see if there has been any contact. Also check for any signs of oil coming from the front seal of the turbo while you are in...
I posted a few weeks ago about the genset problems I was having. Well, I have found a water pump through PartsforTechs.com but my problem now lies with getting a timing belt. I'm supposed to have a rounded tooth timing belt according to my serial#, but its a square tooth that I have and PFT's...
She s a little nasty right now, I've been wallowing like a pig in it since last night. I dont know how to post pictures but I can send them to you by phone. I did the burlwood dash with white gauges. Brazilian cherry hardwood downstairs and all new upholstery outside I changed up a few things...
Well I found out its a Nissan 1.0l or 1.2l I'm thinking maybe the motors water pump is bad. I'm going to ceck raw water flow into and out of the heat exchanger then go to the engines pump after that. I traced the motor back to a 1980-1982 Datsun B210 in case I need a water pump.
