i went thru same bore sleve issue, I went to mercury web site, and made contact with them, emailed engine model # and they confirmed I needed one, and which one i needed.

okay, one last follow up, the Mercury manual that came with boat clearly says 1 yr service is to include removing prop, greasing splines, and inspecting the bore sleeve for issues. Dealer didn't follow Mercury procedure, they said they do prop shaft lube at 2 years.
