    okay, one last follow up, the Mercury manual that came with boat clearly says 1 yr service is to include removing prop, greasing splines, and inspecting the bore sleeve for issues. Dealer didn't follow Mercury procedure, they said they do prop shaft lube at 2 years.

    notice this white ring in front of propeller ( i think its called a wear ring ) , cocked and visible sometimes, sometimes not. Not sure it's purpose. Its on a 2022 SPX 190, 55 hours. Dealer says its okay and not to worry about it. Looking for 2nd opinion. thanks

    Does this sound right? I have the 150 OB, the prop is 14.5 19 pitch blackmax. When I push throttle all the way the rpm's go to 6500, significantly past the 5800 rpm spec. Tried it with trim all the way down as well as trimmed up slightly. both smooth and light chop on water. thanks
