Thanks, the seller of my boat picked it up in Annapolis so it was worth a shot. You're right, the '06 290DA is a great boat.
Back on thread, the seller replaced the original head unit with a cheap Pioneer car stereo. It works but I'm considering replacing with a Fusion unit. The original...
Hi, this is off thread. But did you sell a burgundy 290DA to a buyer in Connecticut? I bought one last year locally and it originally came from Maryland. If so, that would be a coincidence!
They're quoting lead times of 4-7 weeks from order placement and Great Lakes still isn't producing outside orders yet. So, I'm not sure if they're a reseller and am looking into the options.
We want to get this done before the start of next season.
Hi,
I see that sundancercanvas.com is now accepting orders. I received a quote from them and am interested in learning more about the company. But there's not a lot of information available on the net.
If you've worked with them, please let me know how it worked out.
Thanks, Jim
Hi,
Our Koehler 5ECD won’t turn over. When I try starting it the pump turns on and starter clicks once. Then it throws an error code, usually OS or UU.
Here’s a quick video of the sequence.

Anyone have an idea of what might...
Yep, thanks for that Smokeio. I also have the RI registration with the transfer form completed and signed.
Got an appointment at the Old Saybrook DMV tomorrow, at least they don't make you wait in line for hours any longer.
I've recently purchased a 2006 Sundancer 290 and will be registering it in Connecticut.
The boat is CG documented, is currently registered in Rhode Island and the seller had a lien on it. I recently received the lien satisfaction documentation from his bank.
As best I can tell, the first step...
I recently purchased a 2006 Sundancer 290 DA and "inherited" a Barr Manifold Exhaust kit, sold by Marine Engine Parts: Barr Manifold Exhaust Kit for Mercruiser V-8 Dry Joint 5.0-Liter and 5.7-Liter with 14 Riser & 6" Spacers (marineengineparts.com) The seller purchased this kit to service one...
Turns out that the spotlight motors are shot... it works for now, but just facing forward. So it's back to the drawing board.
Since the wiring bus is already in place my first thought is to buy another 22040A and drop it in place. But does anyone know of a more recent spotlight, particularly...
If you're still looking this bulb fits perfectly and works as expected. $15 on Amazon AmazonSmile: Wagner Lighting 4700 Sealed Beam - Box of 1: Automotive
You’re right, the specs for these bulbs are not readily available. I can buy several Wagner bulbs at the same cost of one OEM so even with the shorter rated life I’m still ahead.
But when this one goes I’ll buy the LED and likely never replace it again. Even at the higher price, it still costs...
Ditto, you have good taste in Sundancers! The guy I bought the boat from here in Connecticut purchased it from the original owner in Maryland. We've got the same configuration including the 5ECD, but mine needs engine work. That'll happen over the winter.
Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Was looking for an LED to drop in but couldn't find one.
I did find this bulb on Amazon, which is much cheaper than the official replacement. It fits and works perfectly AmazonSmile: Wagner Lighting 4700 Sealed Beam - Box of 1: Automotive.
Several of the...
Hi,
I recently purchased a 2006 Sundancer 290DA and am working through some smaller projects. The boat came with a Guest 22040A spotlight that is in good working order after replacing the bulb.
When replacing the bulb I noticed the gasket and boot were shot and ordered both parts. The...
