The color was one Sea Ray used in the early 2000's on AmberJacks and others. It is called Pearl. It is shade or 2 lighter than the original which was called Sand I think.

I can tell you on my 77 SRV300 that the electronic ignition does NOT tolerate low voltage well, such that starting both engines off one battery won't affect cranking much, but the voltage drop upon cranking the second motor can make the first motor stall.
However, if I parallel my start...

'Im wanting to add shore power and an on board charger to my boat'
'Just received the book and it seems to be a bit outdated IMO.'
Hi Rick,
This book is timeless - give it a chance. The principles of marine electrical work do not change. If you want to either do it yourself or at least...

Remove the rocker arm covers and the coil wire on each engine, crank the motor and watch the valve train carefully, especially on the zero compression cylinders. You should be able to identify which valves are not opening. You can also clarify whether you have bent connecting rods without...
"One cylinder is down 2o psi on the comp tst. The starbd motor has sucked in water and is gone on cylinder is at 2o psi."
My guess is you had water intrusion and you find (at a minimum) bent or broken pushrods and/or collapsed lifters, rocker arms bent or broken, valves not opening properly...
"put starboard prop on port shaft"
Big mistake. You can't reverse a prop for use on the other side like that. For the boat to perform as designed, the tops of the props (and therefore the shafts also) need to rotate toward their respective sides of the boats.
How you get the shafts to rotate...

To sum it up: Whether CCW (standard) or CW (opposite) rotation, it is always defined as the direction of rotation when looking at the flywheel or output end of the engine...

Hi Mike you and I need to talk. We have the same boat.
This is a complicated issue but the bottom line is the factory exhaust boxes are trouble. Very bad idea to make the exhaust system literally part of the hull. They stopped it after only a few years due to lots of troubles.
My info comes to...
So how many hours of labor do you think you have total in the boat?
My son and I worked together on this and we figured out at one point somewhere between 350 and 400 hours each so far (in other words 700-800 man-hours).
We did not do the actual fiberglass work and gelcoat spraying - that was...
It would be great to see more photos of your boat with the refurbishment complete. Interior photos as well. If you don't mind leading us through your project, it would be great to here more about details regarding material choices, costs, schedules, etc. that you would be willing to share...
i put merc 350 small block fuel injected horizons in mine
Thanks for the nice words. My interior has a long way to go before it looks like
yours.
Do you have accurate cruising speeds in knots and fuel consumption in nmpg for
various cruising rpms for your 300 hp 350's ? Also what size and...
Thanks - you may remember I saw Seeker pictured in Classic Yacht magazine and called you last year. Appreciate the encouragement. While my boat is looking better, I have never seen a Weekender compare to yours - the gelcoat and interior are like new. It is great to hear you and your family have...
Hey guys just joined. That's my boat. Thanks for the nice words. My 16 year old son and I worked on it all last winter. This boat was a disaster when I bought it. The prior owner completely misled me about "rain water in the bilge". Lesson learned - don't sea trial on a rainy day.
The boat was...
