Figured I would have it a year or 2 before discovering one of these. Just sucks because I have been so careful with launching, pulling and during all the breaking in in between.
End of last season I decided to buy a new 190 SPX IO. Looked at it every day in my garage frothing at the bit to get it out on the water for the first time, 5 months after pruchase. Fresh, clean and new.
Took it out twice and spotted a God damn stress crack by one of the cleats....originating...
Thanks Lazy Daze.
I've seen the 7 pin. Thinking I might need some kind of controller. The 4 to 5 is "universal" and I really hate tapping a wire....was hoping for a harness splitter. The surge brakes work great. Going from 2500lbs no brakes, to 4000lbs with brakes....it is easier to to tow...
Was hoping I can call on any experiece with a 5 pin wiring harness. I have a 4 Pin and ordered the 4 to 5 pin harness to operate the actuator to release the surge brakes when backing up.
It comes with an extra blue wire that I am supposed to splice into my reverse light to operate the brake...
The truth is truth. Never let scum bag lawyers drive fear into good people so that they don't stop others from being taken advantage of. This world is upside down. Share the truth, always.
I am patiently waiting...and prepared to wait 2-3 years for the frenzy to completely subside and people to forget about boats and all collectively get back to work so that I can buy a new boat at a reasonable less than inflated firm on the MSRP your lucky I'm still talking to you as a salesmam...
Yeah, I don't want to deal with a submarining of the bow. It starts a nasty domino effect on a bow rider that I would never want to confront. I boat at the top of the Chesapeake Bay. Only time I had a moment was going out of middle river for a trip to the inner harbor. Going was easy...
Due to the design of my 18' bowrider, the bow dips hard when I come to a stop....further exentuated in chop. Moving along, want to stop, bow dips hard. Really unnerves my wife.
Is there a way to maneuver the boat to decrease this? I was thinking making a hook or a u-turn before stopping of...
Over the course of the last 2 decades, there has been a real emphasis on "Saving the Bay". Maryland and Virginia have put an obligation on their residents to pitch $ in.
Here's what I have discovered and I wanted to share it with anyone who boats and fishes on these waters to set the record...
I got both shots and I've taken my last shot. No more. This is non sense. I'd rather take my chances with nature then get stuck 6 times a year by humanity.
But even still, if a pragmatic consumer knew the same part or fluid was available in a different package for less money, why in the world would they opt to pay more....especially in the age of ordering on the internet. Wouldn't make a difference if I was buying it at Walmart or expert store...
I would have the carb cleaned with a new seal kit installed. My mechanic told me that ethanol fuel is hell on a carb. Swells stuff up real bad and boats have starting and stay running issues. A 2007 might desperately need this. Mine did and it solved 95% of my engine issues. Best thing I...
This is so strange.
Example, I previously bought a Merc Black Max prop and hub kit. Quality is pretty good and the price fair...BUT I had to buy another prop today and the exact same prop and hub kit with the Quick Silver box is 30% cheaper?....same exact stuff. Even the fluids and parts for...
Yup, that's my huckleberry. Money aside, this is the driving force behind not wanting to size up. In my 4 months of 18 foot ownership, I have hit quite a few logs and even ran aground twice. The hull is very strong on my little guy. Bottom line is that the parts that I have had to replace...
