    48da windshield fogging/condensation

All my vents face the helm seats as well. (Even the one under the windshield.) i will chalk this up to design flaw. it reminded me of my first car a 1971 ford maverick that fogged over all the time, but at least in it i could hang my head out the window to see. I will try the heat next time...

    48da windshield fogging/condensation

i was concerned that the cleaning products i used on the glass may have contributed to the problem. (windex) I went to the store Monday and washed them down with vinegar and water.

    48da windshield fogging/condensation

Coming back to the marina Saturday evening about 30 minutes before sunset the outside temp was about 80 degrees and it was very humid. We had several thunderstorms during the day. I had the cockpit and cabin air on and set around 70 degrees. The windshield vents were open and the back curtain...

    Greetings from Nashville, TN

The restaurant across the street is pretty good if you are staying at the dock. Take your time learning the lake if you aren't familiar with it. It's very shallow in places. If your heading towards the dam it is pretty open but going up river can be tricky. (watching people playing...

    New 40' Sundancer

I always say mine is better than new because i have worked out all the kinks. 1 new ac unit, bow thruster charger and batteries, radar sending unit, ice maker. Changed out the TV's and Direct TV reciever, called the canvas guy back 3 times and SeaRay has stood behind every bit of it.

    Storing Bow Sunpads on 48

i"m fresh water and under cover and i keep mine in the cockpit when we leave for the week. We have a horrible problem with spiders in covered docs and i would rather take the 5 minutes to walk them around the side then to have one crawl out from underneath while enjoying a sunset. I have been...

    High Pitch Prop sound/

It doesn't seem to make the noise in reverse and it reminds me of old Submarine movies so singing seems to be a better description. I am hopefull for a redo on the prop since i already paid for that once. We did spin the shaft when the props were off and didn't notice anythinig the first time...

    Hurley Davit

Be Careful_ The load capacity on the 48 swim platform is 800 lbs. Sorry i am not on the information highway or i would paste the manual picture that i used to argue with the salesman with who tried to tell me it would be ok to put my 850 lbs jet ski up there.

    High Pitch Prop sound/

I have 24 x29 props that i just had "refurbished" after a grinding a log this winter. I had a diver pull both and sent them together. Now the port side has a very high pitch that you can hear near idle and slightly above idle while moving forward. I think after that the sound of the engines and...

    GPS handheld advice please

i keep a garmin 76s on my boat with Garmin Inland lakes cd downloaded in it for the area i'm in just in case. i used it all the time on my old boat and it got me home after dark many a night. I am sure the software is much better now a days but it has all the marinas, chanel markers, points...

    "Half Idle"

I think my switch is called slow idle and reduces the rpm's to 550 from 600. I use it all the times as well coming and going out of the marina. I think the manual actually says to turn it off when docking as to have normal power for that. You cannot only feel the difference but hear it...

    Minimum Draft you find acceptable

thanks for the input. i went ahead and signed the lease on the slip and will do a visual this spring. (engines off) I'll be super slow until then.

    Minimum Draft you find acceptable

There are two that i can see and not really in the area of initial movement leaving the slip at 35 ft forward of the rear and the other at the opening. Southpaw is right that most people don't even know they are there but the water is cold and clear now and they are more visible. There is...

    Minimum Draft you find acceptable

I am curious what people would find acceptable clearance for an underwater truss in a boat slip. My boat draft is 48" ( i assume fully loaded) and the truss on the slip i am looking at is 5' 4" underwater. One at the entrance to the slip and another about half way. Other slips with boats...
