I just bought a 2014 Sea Hunt game fish 27 that was painted dark navy blue on top of the original gel coat. It was being used as a yacht tender and they wanted it to match the color of the yacht.
Here is pic of the bravoitis that we discovered after we pulled the blown engine out. So we went ahead and fixed that and now we have thru hull and thruy drive cooling
The 425hp peanut motor yes. At the time I responded to this thread the used motor was installed and not running right. We swapped out fuel pump and had carb rebuilt as both had evidence of water in them. Then boat ran great. Friend took it out and it ran great for 4 hours til it blew up...
I solved my problem then discovered a whole new host of problems that led to me taking motor out and rebuilding . I did install the through hull but once the motor had to come out we were able to get in and fix the bravoitis itself I'll dig up a picture of that it was clearly a problem...
I know he was but even when someone has infrequented a form in a long time they may still get a notification to their email box that makes them come back and see it
the motor is running fantastic and sounds amazing. Boat has yet to go to the water becauuse we are ironing out every last little issue. last one is a bad shift linkage in the bravo 3 which we replaced only to find out that the new lower shift cable has a wonky end to it, must have got a bad...
I don't think we can talk about "Bravoitis" enough. this pic was sent to me just now by my mechanic. he had already installed a thru hull for me because we suspected Bravoitis but on my 260 da it's near impossible to get at it with the engine in the boat well my motor blew up for other...
What exactly breaks on it? It's already installed so we will go with it for now. We ran a remote Joseline to the transom to make an easy hookup for flushing so I shouldn't have to touch that assembly at all. Also decided to fix the corroded intake at the transom so I'll have cooling both...
I recently just did this. It was about $500 of parts plus about 5 hrs of my mechanics labor to install. We also installed a perko flush kit so I can easily flush on the trailer (260 sundancer). I installed a drive shower and probably will just leave the seacock closed to the hose coming...
1. He made that statement today also known as AFTER my motor rebuild has already been completed.
2. It's horseshit advice. He talks as if there are no marine engines with forged Pistons! There are thousands of them!!
Show me where any.of those guys offered any actual advice prior to my rebuild......I'll wait.
Scofflaw did agree with me when I was refuting another member who didn't think I will get more RPMs.out of the rebuild. Other than that, there was no real advice offered to me on how to go about this...
All good pirate lady, you already acknowledged being a bit out of line, it's all good. I'm pretty sure I never said I had money to burn. I value my money and I have plenty of it to spend, I just don't like to do so foolishly. In my opinion, I was able to get over 100hp gains vs stock by...
