i have a 2005 Searay 360 sundancer with Yanmar 6lp-stp diesel engines
I keep finding unverified data online of top speed well above 30knots
but I m able to only get 24knots top speed trimmed on a calm sea
I m curious to see what other Yanmar 360’s are doing out there...
Been a while though I would provide all of ya an update
still working on the generator... ending up replacing quite a few components in additional to all hoses and rubber goods

Following the purchase of our 360 in Dec 2020
We spent about 3-4 weeks of engine repair, haul out to perform various task in order to bring the vessel up to speed.
We performed a massive service on the Yanmar engine replacing
_all rubber hoses
_high failure items( sensors, thermostats, water...
yes complicated but I suspect many has same issue just not noticed yet if that hose was never replaced
Hopefully all. This work will last few years down the road

Upon further investigation found the small hole in the raw water hose in the rear which was spraying the alternator and dripping down the pan

We were able to unbolt the pan from the floor and the vibration pad from the generator
Disconnect the fuel supply and exhaust hose
Slide the unit out to clear to the lifting eye
hook up the chains to the lifting Eye
separate the old pan

The pan is good old steel ! using aircraft paint from my work which consist of Green Epoxy primer
MIL-P-23377F Type I and MIL-C-85285 Polyurethane Topcoat. I don't expect this see any rust any time soon ! :)

the new metal pan from Kohler came black so I need to scuff it up and re-paint it white.

yes overall a great trip and great memories ! though about the funnel only issue is that most if not all have a straight pipe coming out of it. 360 fuel port is almost 90degree. the funnel would require some sort of modifications to work. but yes I think it would work to minimized the extend of...
