Our Sea Ray 268 goes in for the first time!

In most counties in Wisconsin if you buy the 91 octane at the pump it is non ethanol gas. The marina we were at has it too but 89 octane. The only vehicle we put anything other than non ethanol is my 1985 Honda Goldwing. We jetted the carbs to take the ethanol. I must be able to fuel her...

Our Sea Ray 268 goes in for the first time!

The ramp starts with a shallow approach that is usually dry with regular water depth. The trailer was at the section where the water usually would just be starting. The truck was already in 1 1/2 feet of water and still held the bow up. If the ramp was the same steep angle we would have...

    Best Aftermarket Air Conditioning?

This winter I plan on rebuilding my engine in my '89 Sea Ray 268. While she's out I plan on installing Air Conditioning in her. Who makes the better units and where has the better prices. Keep in mind despite us living in Wisconsin, we plan on towing her to Florida yearly. Thanks in advance.

    Opinions Of This Boat

I just bought the near identical boat. Had her out once and we really enjoyed her. Being its an '89 you would have a Bravo 1 and not the Alpha drive. Two schools of thought here. You have your Blue Bloods as I call them that need everything perfect and new. They hate the thought of people...

    Engine advice

Points don't store well. Your describing ignition issues with (missing). Your points are a year old, stored since last year. I'd clean them and readjust. Then give that a try.

What would you do - prop shaft breaks, drops, engine room is flooding

In Lake Winnebago last year a boat hit an inlit buoy. The chain caught the prop and yanked it clean out. I don't know the people personally but there were many posts on FB about it. She sank but in shallow enough water to still see the windshield above the water.

1989 Sea Ray 268 Cleaned Up!

Recently we bought our 1989 Sea Ray 268. She has been neglected during her last 3-4 years as the previous owner was in over his head with thid boat. The cabin needed to be cleaned terribly. The before pictures were taken by my son a week before we brought her home. The after pictures were...
