Oh Man! It's been way too long and I've done a bunch of great improvements on the boat I'd like to discuss!
Camper Canvas all around with a nifty windshield. Thick polycarbonate, like glass! $3800 bucks...Big shout out to Material Works in Page AZ for doing such great job! Highly Recommend-...

I've been trying to do some research on running a cable from the arch into the cabin on the starboard side. I need to send it behind the electrical panel in the starboard cabin. I've removed the cushioned panel at the bottom of the arch to reveal the mounting bolts and wire loom...
WOW! I haven't updated this thread since April '21! I must have been boating! :p
Indeed we have been! Not a single maintenance problem all summer once I finished up things back in April. I've made some improvements I'll detail, but first, here's some highlights from the season...Kirk Out
I recently replaced my Promatic 30-3 with a Pronautic 1230 I picked up on E-bay. Half the price.
Easy direct swap-out. Be sure to disconnect charging leads from batteries by either removing the in-line fuses or removing from battery.
The mounting hole locations are different, so you'll have to...
Yeah! 4 feet of water left before the end of the ramp is exposed.
The park service has metal plates staged for deployment to cover the gravel for trailers...
That's a foam pad. It came with the Makita polisher. I have a pad for each product 1000/2500/polymer. I don't mix the wool pads with the different compounds. Some day I'll finally get to use the foam pad for the polymer. I'm still working away at the 1000 and 2500 phases. UGH! My lower back hurts!
super happy with the line of Smoove products. i'm having to do 3 steps due to heavy oxidation. i bet the OP need only do a 2 step with the 2500 then high gloss polymer. use a polishing pad cleaner! -kirk out

Super Happy with the Smoove line of products. I've had to do a 3 step process due to heavy oxidation. But I bet you can just do the Pro-Cut 2500 and High Gloss Polymer.

OH MAN, you maintain your boat like few do, and still this kind of sh!t happens.
I'm doomed, no matter how much work I put into it, obviously, she'll never perform like I want her to....kirk out
I found a youtube video:
Brutal, I have to cut-off the battery holder, solder two wires to a sensitive exploding battery then solder wires to circuit board. Or, completely remove the current battery holder and solder a new solderless battery holder to the board. Oh man! Or, pay $180+ for a...
I've decided to maintain instead of replace the ancient GPS on this 2000 310DA.
I'm a puddle water boater and rely more on my depth gauge than any other instrument on the boat. The GPS loses it's fix every time the power is turned off due to a dead battery in the antennae. You have to input a...
I was perusing photo's of camper canvas on a 2000 310. I'm getting some canvas work done and I was looking for ideas.
I stumbled across a 2000 310DA for sale and the owner had installed a fridge in the cockpit Port hatch. I didn't know there was an adaptor you can purchase to make more room for...
I tracked down a Bluesea charging station. It was tough to find the model I was interested in. I wanted 2, 12v charging ports, a switch and a voltage gauge. Bluesea offers a really cool OLED voltage gauge I liked and the weatherproof, solid construction of their components sold me on their...
I've replaced the Starboard House Bank and the Port Bank. I went with 120ah group 31 AGM for the house bank. The group 31 size just fits the battery trays and the space. The previous group 24 Optima Blue Tops that were in there only have 55ah. Other members have said it true, get the biggest...
I hired a mechanic to give me a hand with all of this maintenance. Namely, to deal with the impellors, the ignition and tune up the generator. Also, one of the hoses feeding oil to the remote oil filter mount on the port engine was oozing oil through the surface of the hose so I paid them to...
OH, I get it! Looks very nice!
I like the shelf where the CD changer used to be. I could easily set the hard drive there or plug in a device that doesn't have bluetooth. Yea, this upgrade is on the list!
