I have a Dometic ECD16/2-117-410 Retrofit kit and when I run both my a/c's (16btu and a 9btu) while on generator power (Westerbeke 5.0) I end up blowing a capacitor. I would like to add a soft start to the 16btu but can not find anything that clearly states that it works for my system. Does...
They are in the solan behind the aft port back rest. One of the dumbest places Sea Ray has put hour meters. Also, that is where your trip breakers are for the windless, and bilge pumps.
Outstanding…I finally found another 350 EB out there. I have the 454 carb V-drive 1992. Have you looked at replacing the throttle and gear controller at the dash? Mine are old and the foam is falling apart. I was just wondering if anyone out there has replaced them without having to modify the...
Well, I finally figured out what was causing the excessive steam. Somehow oysters got past the seacock and into the intake hose before the strainer. However, I messed up my raw water pump and am having that rebuilt before I test drive the boat. Thank you everyone for all the help.
Thank you for the help. However, my thermostat housing is designed for raw water cooling and doesn't have check balls. see the link https://www.boatersland.com/barchva-29-78.html
My boat is raw water cooled, no heat exchanger. I have a fresh water flush system and when I hook up to it and turn on the fresh water while the engine is running the steam reduces. I’ve switched water intakes feeding the starboard via the port intake and port via starboard’s and get the same...
The Port and Starboard dash temp gauges match when up to temp at 160 to 170 degrees, fluctuating equally between 160 to 170 degrees. This is a saltwater boat and it is raw water cooled, there are no heat exchangers. Raw water pump to circulating pump, through engine and out the exhausts. I’ve...
I have twin 454s that have been rebuilt by Jasper and are less than a year installed. lately, the starboard engine is producing more steam, to the point that other boaters are stopping me and thinking I am on fire. I've cleaned the seacock, cleaned the sea strainer, and changed the impeller...
I compare both engines' intake manifolds, transmission housings, risers, thermostat housing....etc everything except for the risers matches within a few degrees. The risers' tops are about 15 to 20 degrees different from the starboard to the port engine. But the steam is very thick. As I...
I hope I am in the right place for this question. I have a 1992 Sea Ray 350 Express Bridge that I just put two rebuilt long blocks in mid-last year. The starboard side always steamed a little more than the port, but I am noticing an excessive amount and even had other boats stop me thinking my...
