Hi Guys,
Here we are about a year later from my prior post and I can say that there has been no issues on my boat since the installation of the cellular boat alarm system. In fact, I have added a few additional components to it, such as pressure sensitive mats, etc. While I still check on...
I have the 5212 touchscreen on the vessel and it works fine. This past weekend I picked up the handheld Garmin Oregon, which thus far - I am impressed with.
Mine is actually mounted under my steps into the salon, where the old unit was, I will pull back the opening today and look at which specific model - I know it was the higher end one, we did have to add a 30A breaker for it. I left the paperwork on the boat, I did not get it from West, rather a...
Yes, I have the 30 amp eMaxx - just routed the water line in and one out, no problems. It provides, like a residential "instant hot" unit, pretty much hot water all the time. Takes up a lot less space of course, and the bottom can't fall out, corode or leak like my old unit did.
www.boatalarms.us Tell Dwayne that Mike sent you. I have never been happier with the cellular system that is in our 460 - remote arm, calls you, texts, calls Police, etc. There's many options as to components. Was broken into twice before getting this and it's been peaceful since.
I had an eMaxx instant on put in place of the bulky 12 gal unit that was there and no longer functional. It's worked great and pressure is good. Was about $289 and I paid about $150 to have it installed.
Talk to Bill at Nautical Creations - they can make about anything at a very good price. I'm real happy with my new one - custom made to hold the dome, KVH, spotlights, etc.
Coming thru your territory in the morning, bringing mine down the river from Millville into the Delaware bay, around Cape May and then depending on what the forecast turns out to be - either up the coast or through Barnegat back to Brielle.
Welcome aboard...

There's a thread on here about this issue - can't find it now but I did a month or so ago and it was dead on in having my light repaired. Best "platinum sponsorship" dollars I have ever spent...club sea ray.
I had an alarm put in, www.boatalarms.us. It runs on a cell SIM card, calls me, her and then the cops. Sends text messages if doors opened, motion sensor, weight on mats, etc. Has a loud and annoying siren, and being 3-4 minutes from the boat I am assuming I can be there while any idiots are...
Thanks, there's a (cheaper) thought. Does it fold or hinge? How long is it? I don't have a dinghy so I need someone to keep the thing, presumably I could toss it down in the engine room or find someway to secure it. Ours is a 30 lb jack russell, but we've recently inherited a 80 lb golden...
Anyone have a pet (dog) boarding ramp they would recommend? I'm not on a floating dock and the tide varies 3-5'. It would be nice to find something lightweight that either collapses (or folds) and is easy to stow away. I've seen a few things online but they're typically 4-5' long. This is to...
We thru-bolted both of these units....still experimenting with how to get rid of the wiring track on the large one in the salon - not sure if that's possible...this old boat's vinyl backing in the shower on the opposite side was stuck to fiberglass with adhesive and then re-glued to the...
We just hung a 32" on our 460 this way - thru bolted the 4 bolts through the shower wall into the tv, caulked and put screw caps on them. Considered other approaches but thought this to be most secure under way and didn't want to try to hang a mount that would move around. I'll snap pics...
If anyone has any input here that can help, I would appreciate.
We've removed the old boat name / lettering and are wanting to install the new. Boat is painted in awlgrip (about 2 years ago) and has been cleaned down with acetone and polished with all the overpriced products that awlgrip...
