Thanks for the input. The oil was change about 4 years ago. It is 30W oil. No problems noted when ran last fall. I will keep an eye on it during sea trials next week. I will change immediately after I take possession. Since it is fresh water boat, don't suspect water intrusion. No water...
During survey of a freshwater kept 390 one transmission oil sample came back with high sodium. Does anyone have any thought as to why it would have sodium? It is a 2004 and only been in salt water its first 2 years of life. Report mentioned perhaps an additive. What would the additive be?
I have a 2004 390MY under contract. I wanted to know if and where you would put a battery bank to increase the house bank. The engine room looks very small. Think of an inverter and charging from engines while under way. Solar panels on top of cockpit cover. Looking for advice.
First let me say Thank you for your service to all my fellow Veterans.
I really appreciate all the well wishes sent out. I was just released from the hospital after 25 days. I was one step forward to 2 steps back for awhile. Best part is that the surgeon was able to get all the tumor and no...
UPDATE: Your thoughts and prayers worked. Surgery was a success. Kept a good percentage of my pancreas and they did not have to take my Spleen. Up and walking already. Thanks to all of you.
I want to thank all in Club Sea Ray for reaching out. It means a great deal to me that this forum has so many caring souls. We are bonded by the love of boating. Tomorrow is the big day. They tell me that this surgery is curative and no further treatments will be needed. I have put it in...
Thanks to all that have responded so far. Your comments have lifted my spirt. Although still sad about the end of boating season .
The friendships in this forum is unbelievable. Again thank you all.
Reaching out the members to send some prayers and positive vibes my way. Not only did I have to put the boat up for the season today, but I am off to Johns Hopkins Hospital for surgery Friday to remove a tumor in my pancreas. They caught it early so hoping for a full recovery and be ready for...
I checked the lower unit yesterday. I found a stick the size of a toothpick in it. Could not get anything in the hole to clean further but did notice a reading of 2 mph now when moving. I will have to wait till I can get it out of the water to investigate further. Thanks for the advice.
I checked today, the tach does not show the speed either. I removed all the plugs from the hub and the back of the gauges. I did not see any corrosion or dirt.
Can someone guide me to where I can find the pickup for the speed? I don't see a tube out the stern.
I have a 2013 220 Sundeck. Yesterday my speedo stopped working. I can see the speed on my mobile Vessel View. Any thought of how to fix? Or where I could get a replacement?
