Greetings, Has anybody tried after market exhaust manifolds and risers? I have a 2005 340 with 8.1 and it looks like it's time to replace them. Just wondering about the possible options available. All the best,

Greetings, I have the same issue with mine. Searay Customer service told me that this is just cosmetics and they will not repair it. I also have wet bilge. Never has it been dry. MM tells me that all 340 have water in the bilge.

Greetings, I installed brand new deep cycle batteries. If it is a short, it should blow a fuse. The batteries will charge up again as soon as I have the engine running. It seems to charge while on shore power as well. The dealer is no help. They want me to bring the boat in.

Greetings, I have a 2005 340 and have the same issue. I talked with Searay Customer service and they told me that it was cosmetics and they will not do anything about it. It does look ugly, however.

Searay shipped the new stairs and MM replaced it. Total labor and travel cost $359. Safely going down to the cabin, priceless!!

Heard back from MM today and Searay is shipping a new stair assembly for free if I agree to pay for the labor. I did agree. Seems fair to me.

Only one step has failed! The rest of the steps are fine. Most of the time the boat is used by just my wife and I. I am the fat one at 240lb. Should hear something back from SeaRay today.

According to MM they e-mailed the picture to SeaRay. MM will call SeaRay on Monday as they are now closed for the holiday.

I, personally, do not have the equipment nor will I be able to use it. But I can look into a welding shop to do the job. Not sure if the entire assembly has to be removed or it can be welded in place.

I got the Passport extended warranty. But it only covers mechanical systems.

Frank, Do you agree that I should let MM work it out with SeaRay since I called them for service instead of me calling SeaRay now.

Thank you all for all your input. I guess I will wait for MM to get back to me to see what the answer is. Then I will call SeaRay if I have to. But a broken weld is hard to consider normal wear and tear!

Sea Gull, Thank you for your input. I agree with you. I might be wrong, but I think this should be covered. This is my second SeaRay and we do like the boat a lot and will buy another one sometime in the future.
