    Trailer rebuild

Funny you say that. I started teardown today to see what I need to purchase. Someone removed the break lines so what I though was not working well was not working at all. My bearing grease is rust color though so it looks bearings are likely shot.

    Trailer rebuild

So it sounds like Calipers are trouble in salt water? I know drum brakes have issues with sitting a lot too but one season is not good.

    Trailer rebuild

So my trailer needs brakes and bearings. The drums are shot as well as most of the brake components. I am thinking that maybe it makes sense to upgrade to disk? since i go in salt water I want something that will last a while. Is there any drawbacks to Disk?

    Lettering Questions

I have had great luck with an online company out of Florida called DIYlettering dot com. No affiliation but price was reasonable and I designed for the 3 boats so far. I matched many boat colors and had the registration numbers match. It was easy to install with a plastic tool.

    Too many boats

Well I don't have a problem with keeping all of them but my yard is looking like a boat yard and the Boss is thinking I need to thin the herd.

    Too many boats

So I bought another project boat and this is now my 3rd boat. I currently have a Pachanga 19 that is 90% complete and a Sea Nymph GLS195 fishing boat. My newest is a 95 overnighter 200 signature that other than overhauling the engine it is pristine. The Pachanga is just a fun boat that should go...

    12V heater

I would think a small propane solution would be the best plan. 12V does not have a great deal of heating capability. a typical 1500W heater will draw ~ 12-14 Amps off 120V. Doing the math the same heater at 12V will draw over 120 amps. You may find a hand warmer or small 100W unit but it will...

new to me 1987 Pachanga 19 to restore

In June I purchased a Pachanga with a truck load of engine parts. My garage has been tied up ever since with the project but its coming along. I decided since its not a tough to upgrade to a V8 I went with a 5.7L. I will say its a little tight on re-entry back in the engine compartment but it...

    engine hatch struts

Hi all, I am wondering if someone can help with engine hatch struts for a 87 Pachanga 19. They are 20" with ~12 stroke but i don't know the pressure. Its got two and the end fittings are strange? they are not the typical 10mm ball. these are cylindrical shafts on the brackets. anyone have a...

    Vents let in rain

Unfortunately the brochure picture is not clear. I am wondering if the original had a drain?

    Vents let in rain

So I have a 1987 Pachanga 19 and the vents are placed on the upper area of the engine compartment and I think the vents may have been changed. The setup faces up so any rain will go in the vent. Any ideas on fixing or possible original factory vents may be different?

    Very slow ski locker drain

I had some luck with 1/4 poly plastic tubing. Its fairy stiff but rigid enough to clear debris.
