First 2 years with this boat I had a guy, old guy, good but eventually couldn’t count on him showing up.
So I got a different guy, was great, fixed my overheating problem (yall remember that) and last year fixed my outdrive problem.
Now, I cant get a call back or text. Hes a ghost. I want to...
So my guy said I am losing fluid, i knew that. Its not going into bilge. He said I may be losing in the cooler and it’s going out the exhaust.
1. I had no idea there was a cooler for power steering and why?
2. So if that true, would the bad part be the pump or the cooler?
3. Anybody got a...
I joined FB about a year ago, and while its really good for finding local neighborhood stuff (like a new taxman) there is like 20 ads for every post.
No wonder the tshirt guy living in moms basement is so rich.
Sitting at the bar, barmaid telling how her daughter’s dog needed 10k surgery to save a back leg. Dont ask particulars. Made a go fund me page and raised 9k.
Got any GFM stories? Apparently this is a real thing.
Today is the anniversary of first day toilet paper became commercially available on a roll, and the original patent drawings show it coming over the top to the front.
And now you know.
Last winter. Anyone ever find out what happened to the boat up there that was hauled out and stuck on a ramp? Was supposed to go to Orleans. Just curious.
And they want us to get EV cars!
I have bitched about batteries on here long time. I got a new Diehard in spring for the boat. Recently I checked volts, its on land winter storage.
The new battery, 8 months old, deader than Kelseys nuts, wont take a charge. Going back with receipt on Saturday to...
I found something else to complain about and it is annoying as hell.
Before upgrade when i go back on the site it would take me to last read post in every thread.
Since upgrade to the Impoved Site, most time it takes me to beginning of a thread and i have to page and page to get to latest.
I...
Well, since boating season is over for most of us, let’s try a little game.
You can only have 15 pieces in your toolbox. A 168 piece socket set doesn’t count as 1.
What do you pack?
Not talking about doing a valve job when anchored out. I mean the minimal to get the boat home in case of emergency.
As of today the boat is done; winterized, outdrive and engine lubes changed. A couple minor issues the mechanic found. Said both are solid. Bottom, outdrive, tabs are all painted. Anodes changed.
She ready to drop come spring.
5-6 months I can have fun at the range, going Thursday. What a...

A profile setting turns on that prevents drunk posts.
And how would it know? If you try to type the same word 3 times it automatically activates.
God knows I could have used this once or twice.
Apparently its losing fluid. Can a auto unit work or must it be a marine unit? Not electrical like alternator so I’m guessing any auto rebuilt one would work and be cheapest.
I don’t see any fluid in bilge; wherelse can it be going?
All summer long we had no problem with duck poop. Now as boats are being pulled out for winter, the ducks have overtaken the pier and there is shat everywhere. Seems they know when its time to take over.
Thoughts on a shitty subject?
I swear these small outboards will be death of me. Had a Coleman 2.6 in 2020-2021. At first it was great, then decided to start when it felt like it. Got tired of twice rowing home when it quit on me.
So in 2022 in sold it, bought new Suzuki 2.5. It was fabulous all of 2022. I didn’t have much...
What is your interesting non-boat go to website? Not news or political.
Example: Explorersweb.com great stories about a lot of dead people who push the envelope exploring the harshest environments on the planet.
Hopefully i will be able to logon in the next 2 weeks to see responses.
Is there any difference between turning the Perko switch to off or actually removing the wires from the battery terminals?
That said, my bilge pumps are hard wired directly to batteries but on land they will not come on, so let’s eliminate that point.
Its good to see with all the fluctuations in everything from the price of a Big Mac to a Subway footlong going from $5 to $14, that gas prices on my river have stayed steady at $4.25 from March through today. Car gas changes everyday but that boat gas sure stays steady.
Sarcasm meter pegged at max.
