I have an old 1985 Sea Ray Seville Cuddy that I have done a lot of work on this year. Pretty much have completed bringing her back to her glory however I have noticed for the past several seasons that my Faria tach ( original) jumps randomly all over the place then at times settles but you never...
I have rebuilt the carb on a 1992 Mercruiser 3.0 and it is really running well at cruise speed 22-25 mph and I rarely go higher than that but in the past I used to get at full throttle about 35mph. I can now only get to 27 mph at WOT. I have installed a new fuel pump as well. I obviously am...
Sky...we are in the same part of the world...I am out of the Gunpowder....I fish around the narrows frequently. anyway my next question is: in addition to installing the inline fuel filter should I do something with the fuel tank or will the 3 filters ( inline, fuel pump, and carb inlet) take...
Ok sounds like good advice.... The only rubber fuel line I have is a short one that is about a foot and a half to 2 ft long from the gas tank to the fuel pump. After the fuel pump the line to the carburetor is steel or iron I'm not sure which. Should I put the filter in the line between the fuel...
I have a 1985 Sea Ray Seville Cuddy with a 26 gallon fuel tank. Apparently, dummy me forgot to put stabil in the tank last winter and I have crud gumming up the fine filter at the inlet to the carb if I run it for only a short while.... like 6 - 10 miles. I have done a lot of work this summer on...
Wow....prayer coming your way.....I live near Honeygo and my daughter had a pretty serious accident at Honeygo and 43 a few years back....same thing... guy blew thru a red light because he was distracted. Dangerous area. Our thoughts are with you and your wife.
So I am pretty sure I am getting good flow from the fuel pump so I have been told it will probably require a carb rebuild. I that something that is difficult to do or is it one of those things that if you take lots of pictures and take your time you can pull it off. I'm wondering if when you get...
Wow...thats great...I am actually around the corner from you....I am in Harewood Park just up the street in Chase. I come out of the Gunpowder. Hate to sound stupid but how do you Pm on here?
Need a gas cap for a 1985 Sea Ray Seville cuddy cabin. If no one has one to sell are there any aftermarket ones that would fit? Thanks for any help
Don
Somehow I lost my gas cap. Is there an aftermarket for these for a Sea Ray this old? If so where would I find it? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hey Techmitch...we're neighbors....just around the corner coming out of Harewood Park off the gunpowder River. Small world. ok so a few questions......How do I know if I have a 2 or 4 cycle engine....its four cylinder mercruiser 3.0 like an old GM straight four so I am assuming its a 4 cycle...
But is that how you use it....do you put a piece of the reflective tape on the big pully on the front of the engine?
Also I read somewhere that whatever it reads you have to divide by 2 if its a four-cylinder engine.....something about there being two revolutions to each cylinder.....or is...
I have a MerCruiser 3.0 (older one...1992) and am in need of an external tach so I can adjust idle and mixture when needed. Will a contactless one work if I just point it at the large pully in the front of the engine with a piece of reflective tape on it? Thanks for any help.
